"Have you heard? Elturel's up and vanished! Nothing but a crater where it once stood. Wouldn't have minded like, man like me's got nowt to do in a "holy city" but it's only taken Duke Ulder Ravengard with it! He was on some kind of "diplomatic mission to our neighbouring city". Used to be a cushty job this, soldier of the Flaming Fist, pride of Baldur's Gate we was, and we didn't have to do nothing. Now we gotta deal with refugees from Elturel, our boss Duke Ravengard missing, and Baldurians trying to start fights with the refugees! Not to mention those cult murders. What do you mean what cult murders? I said not to mention 'em didn't I?! Gods I need a break. I need some help! In fact, you look capable... yeah, congratulations I'm deputising you. Report to Captain Zodge by the Basilisk Gate and find out how you can help. If doing your civic duty's not reason enough there might be some gold in it for you!" I'm an experienced GM who's been telling stories since 1995; and telling them in the form of TTRPGs since 2010. I always wanted to write for a living and I kept hearing about D&D; these mythical games where the goal was slaying monsters, saving the world and above all weaving a legendary tale with friends, but it took me over a decade to find an actual table to join. When I heard about Startplaying I couldn't wait to sign up and make these games that I love accessible to everyone that wants to play. Character Creation will happen over Discord prior to the session 0 and Roll20 during the session 0. We'll discuss your character and backstory prior to the session 0 and then we'll roll your stats and complete your character sheets during the session 0.

How Aidan's Adventures creates a safe table
We will discuss boundaries in the session 0 and I will go over the potential themes that may come up during the adventure. Breaks are taken seriously at my table and if a topic becomes too much to handle you can message me directly on roll20 or discord and I will call for a break no questions asked. if a theme crosses a line for you you can message me and we'll discuss how best to mitigate that in future sessions.
