About the adventure
This is a one-shot adventure with a balance of role play, combat, and mystery. With characters at level 5, heroes in D&D tap into their real potential. It's great for trying a new subclass without getting bogged down with too many details. It's also great for newer players looking for more challenge. Your party is a practical family by now. There's excitement on the wind about your band of adventurers. The word "heroes" seems to be mentioned when you all are brought up in conversation. About a decade ago, the village of Maplegarde discovered it was home to a cabal of sorcerers practicing sinister rituals. Wanting more power, one of the sorcerers betrayed the cabal. Her plans foiled, she was subdued and arrested and the cabal scattered to the winds. News reached the village that the sorcerer escaped prison. The villagers are frightened that she might seek revenge on Maplegarde. Your party is tasked with finding her and bringing her to justice, dead or alive.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey, queens! Please, call me Jo Lee. I discovered the joy of DM'ing almost two years ago. Turns out: I'm pretty darn good at it! Even my DMs love to play at my table. 🥹 As an award-nominated singer and songwriter, my passion for performing translates to creating an immersive experience for you. Whether it's slaying epic monsters or hurtling through space, my table prioritizes player-driven narratives, with a balanced approach to role play and combat. My favorite game sessions are ones we make each other laugh just as much as pull on the heartstrings. I keep my table friendly and welcoming. If you’re new, I’ll walk you through the rules. If you need a break or accommodation, I welcome you to let me know. I’m always open to feedback from experienced players and fellow DMs. My space is pro-queer, pro-trans, pro-BIMPOC, and pro-women.

Creating your character
We'll spend the first 30-45 minutes of our session creating characters. I have a series of character templates in Foundry VTT for each of the subclasses in the 2024 Players Handbook. These can be customized to your liking during setup. You are welcome to create your own character ahead of time. Please use the following guidelines: - Characters are level 5. (Stats are Standard Array) - 5e 2024 ruleset. - Keep your backstory open to interpretation according to the group and party dynamic.
What to expect

How Jo Lee creates a safe table
Prior to our game, I'll reach out to privately address any content sensitivities you may have. During the character and party set-up, we'll collaborate on table ground rules that help everyone feel comfortable and primed for a fabulous time. I have a system of safety cards in Foundry VTT that enable X,N,O cards to be used anonymously.
