Tyranny of Dragons
The sky darkens. Towns burn. Whispers speak of a cults rising, led by madmen. Factions collide and the Sword Coast will never be the same.
About the adventure
The realms tremble. Across the Sword Coast, villages are razed, dragons circle the skies, and a sinister cult gathers ancient relics and unimaginable wealth. Whispers speak of a terrifying prophecy: the return of Tiamat, the five-headed goddess of evil dragons. The Cult of the Dragon, once a scattered group of madmen, has become a powerful and coordinated force. They don black robes, command armies of drakes and fanatics, and serve the will of chromatic dragons. Their goal is nothing less than to tear open the gates of the Nine Hells and usher Tiamat into the world. As the Cult came to their power, they gave birth to another group called the Scaled Choir. They seek to bring back 5 ancient dragons believed to have the power to sing things into creation. The Scaled Choir wish to bring back the Singing Titans and instill law and order. You and your companions stand in the way of the apocalypse. What to Expect: Epic Campaign (Levels 1–20): Begin as humble adventurers and rise to become legendary heroes—or feared enemies of dragons. Draconic Threats: Battle, negotiate, or flee from iconic chromatic dragons like the cunning green wyrm or the brutal red tyrant. Cult Infiltration & Espionage: Go undercover within the Cult of the Dragon, sabotage rituals, and uncover hidden plots. Faction Politics: Work with or against powerful groups like the Harpers, Zhentarim, and the Lords’ Alliance to rally forces. Mythic Showdowns: Face decisions with world-shaking consequences. Will you save the realm or see it fall under wings of shadow?

About me
Hello my name is Brandon, I have 20+ years experience from D&D 3.5, 4th, and 5th Edition. I use 5th edition with Roll 20, Discord, and D&D Beyond. I mostly enjoy running campaigns, building on character development, and creating a custom experience for the players. I enjoy creating a custom character arc for your character. The more details you provide in your backstory the more I will be able to create a custom adventure for you. I have assets on D&D Beyond I can share for character creation. I have premium maps on Roll 20. I use greenbot to set the scene with music.

Rule of Cool
Thoroughly enjoyed the world that he built for this campaign-but also was impressed at his detail for crafting a story that makes characters involved in the world. Encouraged building a backstory that affects the world, getting the party invested in what happens. If you don't want a party that's just full of murder hobos, get them interested in the world and it's people. Enjoying the campaign so far, and enjoy his DM style!
Brandon is a very thoughtful DM who cares deeply about the players in his campaigns. He reaches out to check on players after emotional games, he takes suggestions to heart, and he even takes time to chat with the players outside of game. I’m having a really great time playing dnd with him, so much so I ended up joining a second game he was running.
Great DM. We have a mixed party: a few pairs who have played together and some who don't know anyone, and have a large range of rules knowledge. He accommodates it all! Boss leaves lots of space for RP and still manages to get us through loads of content every session. Everyone's stories seem to be highly integrated into the story, even in ways that surprise the players who wrote those backstories: he has found ways to connect people's plots into each other as well as the main plot. He is enthusiastic about our success, and always feels like he is cheering for us to win, but can also be absolutely ruthless. I will never forget the bone room.
First and foremost, Final Boss is a really kind and genuine person, who is really interested in the player's enjoyment and their fun, and he has good ethos around empowering players. I have also never had a DM that controlled the pace of the game so well, we get so much done every session. Boss strikes a very good balance of treating the game prep and time with professionalism and commitment, but making the session feel like we're all just pals gaming.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will use either 5e or 5e 2024 rules. We will decide as a group at Session 0 Either Way you can start with a Level 1 feat from a selected list of feats to allow for greater customization of your character. We will be rolling for stats. 4d6 drop lowest. [DM reserves the right to allow for rerolls if a player's stats are way too low] Please include a background story for your character that is reasonable for a level 1 character. Your background story will be used to create your own side story within the game. *If you want to tie your character to the realms feel free to ask me questions to allow for a greater connection to the chaos surrounding this adventure.
We have in our party so far: An Elven Thief with a past in magic An Elven Draconic Sorcerer looking to saver her family A Firbolg Warlock of the Archfey on the hunt for a magic item A draconic elf Druid- looking for his place is this world

What The Final Boss brings to the table
I will provide access to all my materials on D&D Beyond, Premium Maps on Roll 20, and Music through the Roll 20 Jukebox. I do character voices for all characters that are important. I use your character sheets to adjust combats so that you have a chance to use your abilities and spells. The Rule of Cool is used and I will at times avoid the "Game Mechanics" to just say "Yes thats too cool not to happen lets roll with that"
