About the adventure
The city-states of Iblydos rule an archipelago steeped in mythic power, legendary beasts, and ancient history. Yet the region suffers; the myth-speaking rites that used to elevate great heroes into mortal demigods are failing, with few of the hero-gods surviving to guide their people and grant magic. This all changes with the war god Gorum’s death. The resulting fallout known as the Godsrain awakens some forgotten source of mythic potential, transforming the PCs into the first new hero-gods in recent memory. But what is this mythic power, and will it revitalize Iblydos or doom it entirely? Our heroes will be a mix of Iblydan natives and recently arrived travelers to the port of Bailax, where participation in the funeral games of a local hero leads to their ascension and the beginning of their myths. This adventure plays from levels 1-9, ending as the group hits level 10, but will be open for continuing into further adventures. The campaign will make use of the following variant rules: - Ancestry Paragon - Free Archetype - Mythic - Battlezoo's Creature Crafting

Meet the Game Master
About me
I am experienced game master of 7 years, starting with dungeons and dragons, and then gaining experience with call of cthulhu and pathfinder, my current preferred systems. I love to create and share stories with others, and enjoy working both with players who want to play a game to win, and players who are looking to share a story and get deep into roleplaying.

Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session 0 of the campaign. Players are asked to bring concepts for their characters, including backstory, build, and what their mythic calling will be when they get it. Session 0 will focus on building the characters into the server, determining if any characters already know one another, etc. Practically all ancestries, backgrounds, classes, and feats are available for use, however uncommon and rare options must be approved by the GM first. With the use of the Free Archetype variant rule, the only restriction is that any class dedication and feats (i.e. wizard, champion, witch, etc.) must be taken with your class slots, and not in the Free Archetype slots. The free player's guide can be found at the following link and contains recommendations for classes, ancestries, and backgrounds that will fit the campaign best: https://downloads.paizo.com/Myth-Speaker_Players-Guide.pdf
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need access to Discord, internet, a functioning microphone, and either headphones or earbuds. Sessions will take place in a discord voice call, and will also utilize the in-server chatbox in Foundry to communicate. Cameras are entirely optional.
What Jeriko brings to the table
I will provide a full discord server for the campaign, as well as a fleshed out gaming experience using the wealth of tools provided by Foundry VTT. A number of additional modules will be used to enhance player experience. I will also be recording sessions for uploading to youtube over the course of the campaign.
Homebrew rules
Full list of homebrew rules is available in the discord. Most important one for character building is a restriction on the Free Archetype variant rule - Multiclass dedications and their respective feats must be taken in class feat slots. Free Archetype is meant more for flavor and fleshing out additional aspects of your character's story. Additionally, while not exactly homebrew, the monster crafting system as presented in Battlezoo will be used in this campaign.

How Jeriko creates a safe table
All players are welcome at my table, though this campaign assumes that players will have a certain level of experience with the system and rules! Session 0 will go over peoples' lines and veils, and an open dialogue will be kept throughout gameplay. My goal is to ensure that players always feel comfortable in my games, and know that they can come speak with me if they have a problem or something they need to discuss.
