About the adventure

The year is 1 ABY. The Death Star was destroyed by Luke Skywalker's 1-in-a-million shot. However, the hero of the Rebellion was shot down, his smuggler ally showing up a few seconds too late. Now, a year after that climactic battle, the Rebellion surges across the galaxy. Darth Vader, the dread enforce for the Emperor, has disappeared. The Empire heaves and buckles, as it grips systems ever more tightly. Brushfires threaten to become an inferno of rebellion, across the galaxy. During this time of crisis, you are contacted. Someone, who somehow knows all about you, offers you the one thing you want, if you meet them deep in the bowels of Nar Shadaa. They need help in finding something, and they need your special expertise.

About me

GM since 1980, I run games you haven't heard of. Indie and non-Hasbro games are my gig! I wrote 'How Humakt Learned to Grieve' for the Jonstown Compendium. I run Star Wars, RuneQuest and other non-Hasbro games. I use safety tools such as lines and veils, X-card, brief and debrief, bleed management tools and others. My table is an explicitly safe BIPOC/ND/Queer/Trans/LGBTIA+ space as I am queer and nuerodivergent myself.

Character creation

Creating your character

Create characters are per standard rules in the Force and Destiny TTRPG. We will be creating characters during session 0, and you can schedule time with me to finish character creation outside of game time. Characters will be Knight Level (150 XP plus base species XP). All PCs must use Careers and Specializations from the Force and Destiny core. The Jedi career and all it's specializations are specifically *not* allowed at game start. Other specializations from F&D game books are allowed on an approval basis. Players will be guided through character creation using the Oggdude creator.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will have a session 0 where I go over the game, help you create characters, and teach you how the FFG narrative dice system works. All you need is a Discord account, as we will be using a dice bot on Discord. You can store your sheet at swsheets.com. I will send you an invite link to my Discord server once you have joined the game.

What Chris brings to the table

Safety

How Chris creates a safe table

Lines and Veils will be discussed in Session Zero. My practice is to fade to black and let events stand, but your comfort as players is priority. X card will always be available for use. I generally plan one 10 minute break in the middle of a session. If there's an emergency or family issue, just message me and let me know. I highly encourage Stars and Wishes, and I am happy to extend game time one half hour for aftercare discussion, or to arrange talks away from game time for individuals or the entire group.
