About me
Hello. My name is Paul and I've been a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons for nearly 10 years, I have a lot of Experience running 5th edition having completely many Long Form campaigns and one-shots, with a deep love for taking Official Modules and making them my own, expanding them and co-operating with players to make their experiences unique and tailored to the module/campaign. In addition to 5e (2014 and 2024), I've taken attempts into other TTRPGs like Vampire the Masquerade (V20 and V5), LANCER, and D&D 4e. Additionally I have been running online games consistently for over 6 years, I use Roll20 to run my campaigns and Discord to help organize and communicate with my Players.

Creating your character
I want to run this Campaign using the 2024 Player's Handbook version of the Rules for D&D 5e. Your characters will be can be made using only the 2024 version of the Player's Handbook classes, or the Artificer from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, 2014 subclasses are allowed but you should use the 2024 content where available. The specific Level for the One-Shot will be included within Preparation materials that are sent if your application is approved. Characters can be made with Standard Array or Point Buy systems for stat generation. Allowed Species: -Any Species from the 2024 Players Handbook -Any Species from Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse -Any Lineage from Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. Any spells from additional 1st party or 3rd party materials outside the Players Handbook are by default not allowed, but may be reconsidered upon direct request.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need: - A Microphone, - A Discord account for Communication, - A Roll20 account for Character Sheets and for Combat. Discord and Roll20 accounts are free, so there's no need to worry if you don't have one currently, signing up is quick and won't cost you anything. Outside your Microphones and Accounts, I require players to be respectful to each other and to myself.
What Paul C brings to the table
I provide the Roll20 game with a Plus subscription that allows me to share some content for Character Creation. I provide a Discord server for players of this game to facilitate the Voice Chat of the Game along with any private communications amongst players. I have an Open Message policy along with a There Are No Stupid Questions Policy, so if you have a question about roleplay or mechanics that you are unsure of you can ask me during the session or between sessions and I will endeavor to provide a swift answer. I will provide ambient music to the group during sessions, and appropriate combat music for more intense battles and moments.

How Paul C creates a safe table
For information on what content may be in the game before we begin see the Content Warnings, These are customized for each specific One-shot run in this series. I run sessions that last approximately 4 hours, so I take breaks at an appropriate mid-point to have a moment to decrease tension and relieve any built up stress from high conflict moments.
