About the adventure

This is a conversion of Rime of the Frostmaiden converted to be set in Eberron, my favorite setting for DND ------ In the world of Eberron, magic fuels the everyday— enchanted light posts lighting city streets, trapped elementals powering trains ships and the recently invented airships. Arcane industry reigns, while ancient relics slumber beneath modern empires. The scars of the Last War, a century-long conflict, still divide the continent. The peace is fragile. The wounds are fresh. And the Mourning—the magical cataclysm that wiped the nation of Cyre off the map—remains a mystery no one dares solve. The dragonmarked houses are powerful dynastic guilds whose members inherit magical sigils called dragonmarks, over the years they have be operating like corporations, they control key industries—crafting, healing, travel, communication, and more—often wielding more influence than nations and their ambitions are growing. Far beyond the reach of Khorvaire’s politics, Icewhite Island was a frozen frontier however about a decade ago, during the last stage of the war a Cyran funded expedition found riches tucked away in this remote corner of the world. Abundant sources of all three types of dragonshards—crystals that store and power magical enchantments—sparked a boom. A rare forest of Soarwood has been found in the mountains of the islands but sacred to the locals. The dragonmarked houses and few Cyran nobles funded a string of settlements on the island. Conditions were tough but the settlements started very successful, bringing profit to investors. Construction was started on a lightning rail system between the towns and an Airship dock in Stormhearth. After the Mourning many Cyran refugees came to the island hoping to find a new home bringing even more man power to the settlements. Things were going well - Then came the storm. For the last year, an unnatural blizzard has swallowed the island, cutting it off from the mainland. Communications from the House Sivis outpost fail more often than not. Supply ships vanish at sea and only wreckage arrives on shore. In the few messages that have gotten out, there Whispers of of buried ruins, fractured alliances, rogue warforged, and cultitst like activity appears to be on the rise. Now, a last-ditch relief expedition is being sent by the Twelve—the alliance of dragonmarked houses that built the colony. Among its crew are investigators, arcanists, spies, and mercenaries… and you are one of them. Sent to uncover the truth and hold the mission together... On Icewhite Island, everyone has a secret, and not everything frozen stays dead. This is a tale of arcane espionage, lost power, and the storm-choked frontier where progress met its match. Ancient forces are stirring. The war may be over—but your story is just beginning.

About me

Hey everyone my name is Beri and I love roleplaying games. Its such a fun way to play a game and tell a story. I like to take published adventures and expand on portions events and NPCs to either tie in characters back stories or make the adventure more engaging. I host games using Foundry VTT, Its simple for the user but requires a computer (min 8gb ram) but it runs in a browser window. The great part about Foundry is its simple to use from the players side, and i have things set up to be automated enough to keep the game moving at a fun pace. Also things look nice, I have some spell animations set up and have a supply of maps with walls a lighting set up and play music/ambient noise over voice chat to help set the mood. I use discord as my primary means of communication for DND so hit me up there if you have any questions or concerns

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord is used for Voice and Chat in my Games DnD Beyond is used for character creation and tracking things between sessions so you will need an account there Foundry VTT is my virtual tabletop of choice and i host using the forge, youll need to make an account there I will send links when you join the game to those resources

What Beri brings to the table

I come to the games bringing FoundryVtt set up with some fun animations, custom and curated battlemaps and art. I try to weave a tale and build a world that is engaging to the players I play with that is a nice mix between structured stories and some sandbox play. Over discord I like to play ambient sounds and music to set the mood for the game.

Homebrew rules

We will be playing pretty much by the book 2024 Dnd Because of the nature of this campaign we will be focusing on keeping track of things like equipment encumberment, ammo, priced spell components, food and water.
