Chris is a fantastic GM. Not only is his storytelling fantastic, his emphasis on player fun makes every session of every game amazing. I always felt seen, heard, and appreciated while playing, and i’ve had fun at every session. I would sit at any one of his tables again in a heartbeat.

A fantastic GM with loads of ideas and ways to make your characters have a great time and get into the game. If you want an immersive experience with a GM who plays along with you, join his games.

Chris is a Dungeon master who creates worlds that feel so real that you fall in love with every character. As a player you feel like the heroes in a world you influence with your actions. If you want a DM that will set the bar for all DMs to the max then play with Chris.

This GM was so fun! He ran a one shot campaign with zero setup time for him. He was able to pull a cohesive story together while making all the NPCs unique and fun and not cookie-cutter. It was the best RPG experience I've ever had. I will absolutely be joining more of his sessions.

Character creation
Creating your character

Character generation will occur during a zero session with everyone present. This is as much to make sure we all mesh as a group of people as it is to make the characters & backgrounds for each of them. For those who don't want to make a character, I'll also have pre-made characters available to use. We will also discuss lines & veils for the game (please Private message me ahead of time if your uncomfortable with expressing these in a live chat). Session 0 will be a free session ($0), so we can make sure everyone is going to feel comfortable with each other and with the game.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

A Discord account with a microphone that allows for clear communication & an environment without a lot of background noise while we are in session. A camera is preferred as well, but not required. A stable internet connection. A free Roll20 account is also required if you plan to take advantage of the digital cards and rules on the site. If you don't want to use Roll20, you'll need a standard deck of playing cards and tokens (such as coins or poker chips) to serve as Moxie. The rules for the game itself will be available on the Roll20 as well as from my Google Drive. Characters can be created either in Roll20 or using the blank form-fillable PDF character sheets in the Google Drive.

What Christopher Boyer (Aura of Awesome) brings to the table

I will provide the Roll20 module, which will provide the rules, digital decks of playing cards, Character Sheets, Pre-Made Characters for those who want them and chips for moxie. I will also provide the rules, Quick Start guide and a form-fillable PDF that can be downloaded from my Google Drive. I'll also provide PDF copies of the rules through my Google Drive.

Safety
How Christopher Boyer (Aura of Awesome) creates a safe table

I'll go over Lines and Veils and ask for everyone's Lines and Veils as part of our session 0. If you don't feel comfortable sharing that with everyone, you can message me privately. For X, N, & O's, those can be done digitally or by saying "X Card", "O Card", etc. If players need to step away from game for any reason, they are free and encouraged to do so. I want to make sure everyone is having fun and feels comfortable and safe. Stars and Wishes are where after each session the players can express what they liked about the session and also what they'd like to see changed or done differently in future sessions. Aftercare will be done as part of Stars and Wishes, where I check in on all the players to see how they are doing, and if there's anything that needs to get discussed or addressed we can do so. We take breaks halfway through each session so that people can get something to eat/drink, go to the bathroom, etc.
