About the adventure

FREE session 0 to create characters, set expectations, and get to know each other! 😁 Atta Dheirra is a world focused on customizability to the players favorite aspects of a classic D&D adventure story. There is in-depth lore, quest-lines (main and subquests), 100+ maps, NPCs, and a custom pantheon. The world itself is progressing around your travels. Time passes, Calamities roll in, Ancient Evils stir, and the Gods watch and select their champions. Make unlikely allies, arch-enemies, and steadfast friends. There are 8 continents to explore, each with settings condusive to all sorts of your favorite dnd tropes. Pirate and high seas adventures in Fischaffen, harsh winter survival in Dymog Jesen, cursed grimdark ruins dungeon crawl in A'Tuin, social and political intrigue in the stone-carved courts in Queensryche, high fantasy magic adventure in the mean streets of sprawling metropolises in Skollat, camping and exploring the natural beauty and raging elemental jungles and sky isles of Ubril, climbing to the top of the fiercely competitive martial world of Roatlya, or finding wealth and conquest in the chaotic newly mercantile society of Meranthe. All of these settings have deep history and shadowy evil stirring beneath. Which will your party choose?

About me

Hello, my name is Peter! I'm 22 and I've been GMing at tables and briefly over camera during the time of the zoom usage spike, since 2016. Being a forever GM for my friends for 9 years. I went to College for Game Design, drawn by my passion for user-facing systems like worldbuilding and narrative. And fell in love with immersion and user feedback. I love to play with narrative structures like the harmon circle, three act, or save the cat and mix them up with classic tropes in unique ways and see how the stories surrounding each hero interacts with others in roleplay and combat.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will do character creation during session 0. I will send out campaign information materials prior to get the creative juices flowing beforehand!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord and free FoundryVTT account. Sessions will be hosted on Google Meet and use Foundry to track the adventure and give reference to the theatre of our minds :3

What Peter Newman brings to the table

I like to do character voices and sound effects as well as ambient music to set a mood. You are definitely not required to do a voice for your character! I do a 50/50 split of combat and roleplay usually but we will lean one way or another depending on session 0. Rule of cool, which means to encourage player agency by bending rule interpretation, is my style but if there isn't a good reason we will be sticking with rules as written. And I am open to homebrew races/classes/subclasses/spells/feats if approved by me prior.

Homebrew rules

I use bonus action for potions, savage criticals(roll regular damage and add the max damage), and glancing hits (hits that meet AC do half damage). If these rules don't make sense to you, they will be explained in more detail at session 0!

Safety

How Peter Newman creates a safe table

At Session 0 I will send around an anonymous form that will ask about how comfortable everyone is to different topics that could come up in later sessions. We will draw hard and soft lines around different content and can continually update these lines before, during, and after sessions as people see fit.
