About me

I always loved creating fascinating stories and situations for player characters to react and solve. My promise is that sessions will be engaging, intense, and dramatic, as we experience the stories of the world and our characters unfold before our eyes. Writing this after doing over 40 sessions for SPG. I first got into DMing for DnD for family and friends, eventually branching out to online communities. While I maintain those sessions I also was curious if I could make a living out of being a DM as all of the players I DMed for showed enthusiastic support and eagerness for each and every session. Branching out to SPG I started with just a single session, and they loved it. Then when Dragonlance released I put out a few more sessions that wouldn't conflict with my work schedule and with all of their enthusiastic love, support and encouragement for me as a DM and for the stories we tell as well as their eagerness for next session "Is it (session day) yet?" I decided to try to make this silly hobby a full time job. I would not be doing this without the massive amount of support and encouragement from my players. With that, I would like to invite you to join our community. I have been making stories with systems similar to DnD since I was in Highschool. When I started playing DnD and eventually gained the confidence to become a DM in every game I was in my players kept asking me to extend the session length, even upwards of lasting the whole day. Then when I learned people have made a living doing this I decided to reach out to StartPlayGames and see what I can add to this community!

What Count Camerox brings to the table

Foundry VTT: Fully set up with dynamic lighting, walls, tokens, and automation for conditions, initiative, and effects. Custom Tokens & Maps: Enhanced dungeon layouts and visuals, plus ambient soundscapes. Character Support: Pre-gens available or help building a character in Pathbuilder/Foundry. Rule of Cool balanced with RAW**: I favor rule consistency but lean toward narrative freedom when it’s fun or cinematic. Immersive GMing: Expect NPC voices, thematic music, interactive environments, and tactical, movement-driven combat encounters. Accessibility: I’ll explain mechanics as they come up and offer summaries during long sessions or after breaks.

How Count Camerox creates a safe table

Session 0 Topics: We’ll discuss character concepts, party dynamics, tone, Lines and Veils, and expectations around playstyle and pacing. Aftercare: After each session, I’ll check in via Discord or a quick 5-minute cooldown in voice chat to ensure everyone is feeling okay and give space for players to decompress or ask question Open Door Policy: Players can leave or step away from a session at any time, no explanations needed. You’re never locked in. Bleed Awareness: We'll acknowledge that sometimes feelings from characters or situations can spill over into real life. Players are encouraged to check in with themselves and each other—no shame, just care. Aftercare: At the end of each session, we’ll take 5–10 minutes for optional debrief. This is a time to discuss what you enjoyed, what hit hard, or what you'd prefer differently next time. You can also message me privately at any time. Stars & Wishes: A short wrap-up ritual where players can highlight things they loved (Stars) and express hopes for future sessions (Wishes). This helps shape the game around what brings joy to the group.
