About me

I have a real passion for storytelling and role-play games. The idea of creating whole new worlds, even within pre-existing ones through unique storytelling excites me, and is what I lean heavily on within my games. Even when running pre-written adventures I will put my own unique spin on the story with the main focus being on the player characters. When you join one of my games you are not just signing up to be told a story to, but to tell a story together, and add your own unique stamp on the worlds I can take you to, and that we will shape together. Dan is fun AND fair and you can definitely tell he puts his time and efforts into his games. I very much enjoy the games I’ve played with Dan as the DM and look forward to many more.

Dan managed the needs of the group well - those who were more familiar with D&D and the online tools in play, and (myself) the person who was less familiar with both elements and joined in session 2. Balance of RP and action was good, and the pace of it all was well managed

Considerate GM, imaginative, organized and willing to support players instead of enforcing his own ideas. A keeper!

Dan is fair and reasonable, with a relatively relaxed personality. The rule of cool is not lost on him and he encourages creative thinking in the group. All in all a good preformence.

Character creation
Creating your character

Pre-made characters will be supplied, but if you wish to create your own characters this will be done outside of sessions using anything from the core rules.

What Dan of the dice brings to the table

You can expect a warm and welcoming GM who will guide you through the adventure step by step, ensuring player safety is maintained at all times. I attempt to give each NPC a unique tone and voice but you shouldn't come expecting a professional voice actor. I look at a rule book as a solid guide in order to keep all players on the same page. That said the rules should never get in the way of a fun moment.

Safety
How Dan of the dice creates a safe table

I will guide all players through the use of "the deck of player safety" which will enable us to signal topics that we are uncomfortable with in a quick, easy and anonymous way. I will also run a brief 15 minute session zero like section to our first session in which we will cover safety tools that are in use. Safety tools used at the game table include X, N, O cards. These cards can be used to signal any discomfort you have within the game session.
