About the adventure
Set in the world of Sin Eater: Absolution by BlackwaterDnD, Lamplighters is a campaign where you play a member of the guild responsible for keeping the warding lamps alight. Should they fail, the city of Shura will be overrun by the lost and twisted spirits of the dead. New and veteran players welcome, this story system can be flexible between being a long form campaign, a short mini-arc or a one shot. Brave the corrupt politics within the city and the harrowing outer regions of Shura, where the dead hold dominion.

About me
I am a member of BlackwaterDnD, a Canadian TTRPG Actual Play channel. I am a professional singer/performer who has been running TTRPG games for over a decade. I bring my performance background into my games in order to tell immersive and exciting stories.

Creating your character
I will give instructions on how to make a character using 5e rules. I also encourage creating characters that have solid narrative foundations. A backstory is a tool that the DM can use to create a deeper and more fulfilling story for the player. I would prefer character sheets made in DnDBeyond and can provide a campaign with shared content for that purpose.

Preparing for the session
There will be a discord server to join.
What Adam Lucas brings to the table
I will utilize ambient music and sound effects, provide rich descriptions and perform engaging and immersive voices. I tend to embrace Rule of Cool, but acknowledge the rules are there for a reason. Any rule that impedes good story telling can be adjusted.
Homebrew rules
1. If you are brought to zero hitpoints and start making death saves, when you are healed back to consciousness you will take a point of exhaustion. 2. Flanking gives a static +2 to attack roles and damage rolls. 3. Critical hits deal max damage on the original dice roll, plus an additional dice roll (eg. if you crit with a dagger you would deal 4(max dagger damage) +1d4 + modifier)

How Adam Lucas creates a safe table
I will provide a Lines and Veils document to fill out and I utilize an X Card system at my tables. The X Card can be either verbal or a private message depending on comfortability. Once Lines and Veils are established I can provide some content warnings to make sure nothing was missed. There will also be a brief debrief at the end of each session where we discuss how we are feeling about the table and the story, and make sure everyone is on the same page.
