The Sea of Drifting Lands is filled with cities on top of turtles. By the end of the year there will be one less. Will yours survive?
About the adventure
Every 5 years there is a festival held in the sea of Drifting Isles. The Festival of the Waves lasts for 1 year. During the festival all drifting cities compete for supremacy and when the festival ends the Sea God will wake up and devour the City in the last place along with the Island Turtle it is built on. It is time for another festival and your home turtle Daisy is in the last place. What will you do to raise her rank? Will you be satisfied being second to last or will you climb higher and secure a safer future? Decide the future of a city in this nautical fantasy campaign filled with horror, excitement and comedy in equal parts! A long term campaign going from level 1 to 10. Using Foundry (hosted in Forge) and Discord.

About me
Greetings Traveler! My name is Martin and I have been running games from the fall of 2018. I started running games after the local goblins 'removed' the last storyteller from their position and demanded that I take their place instead. Since then I have been leading groups of lost souls into my dark-fantasy world of "Uri Nanna". The weather is nice here this time of year and I can't wait to show you around! I love telling stories with others and my personal brand is stories filled with spooks and laughter in equal parts. I cannot wait to see what you leave in the history books of this world! Even if you decide to turn the local volcano purple...

Creating your character
Characters will be created during session 0. The campaign will start at level 1 and will use the Free Archetype optional rule. There are no book limits as long as they can be found on Archives of Nethys.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A mic is need but a webcam is purely optional. To speed things up an account should be made here: https://eu.forge-vtt.com/. This is my chosen hosting platform for Foundry and an account is needed to connect to my game. I would prefer if the display name is same in Discord and in Forge to avoid any confusion. Foundry also requires you to have hardware acceleration enabled on your browser. While there is no limit on what browser to use Google Chrome has been the most stable in my experience. While I will cover the topic of the game world in session 0 you can find more info about it here: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/uri-nanna-happyhermit We create characters in session 0. But it is a good idea to start thinking about it before.
What Martin O brings to the table
My chosen VTT is Foundry. I create custom maps for combat and for cities or towns if the party spends a longer time in them. I bring my own homebrew world with its own pantheon. It is also a world with a shared history meaning that actions in the campaign will change the world. But you won't be meeting any other party in the world, just the changes they have brought to the world. I also use music and sound effects. I do voice all my NPCs but I am not a voice actor so my performances may vary. I usually stick to the rules as written but if a player has a cool idea then I will try to make it work as long as the goal of the action is to do something cool and not to gain more power. The difficulty of my combat changes based on the group. After all the goal of the difficulty is to make thing fun not just hard. I also like to change the direction of the campaign based on the interests of the players. Nothing is truly written in stone. When ever possible I do like to use the characters backstories.

How Martin O creates a safe table
Before session 0 I will send out the Monte Cook Checklist. In session 0 we will go over expectations, the game world, create characters and finalize what the campaign will be about. I have an in game module for X,N and O cards. After every session I will stay in the call to go over session highlights, wind down and address anything that needs to be addressed.
