About the adventure
🩸 Embark on a time-sensitive mission to save the last Imperial scions! 🩸 Trek across a vast and broken Empire, spanning continents. 🩸 Meet decadent nobles, cunning warlords and desperate people trying to survive the apocalypse. The Astorian Empire fell centuries ago, with the slow, agonizing whisper of the Shadowblight. The grand roads lie broken, its wonders are dust, and what remains are scattered fiefdoms clinging to decadent memories of glory. Four Winds of Ruin choke the sky, sowing madness and chaos whenever they blow. Safety is confined to crumbling city walls; warped monsters and desperate marauders are the only things beyond. You are Greycloaks, one of the last vagabond protectors of a forgotten order, sworn to defend a people who view you with suspicion. Your leader is gone, and your numbers dwindle, yet you carry a secret: the true Imperial line still exists, hidden away. You'll traverse the lenght and breadth of the former Astorian Empire. Combat the Shadowblight, defend isolated communities, deal with decadent courts and petty kings and rekindling hope - at any cost. A dark power rises in the shadows, and will descend upon the broken lands of Sundered Reach before long... Will you succeed in your desperate search for the lost heirs? And, more importantly, will it be enough to keep the darkness at bay?

About me
Greetings from Central Asia! English isn't my first language - but I have over a decade of experience as an interpreter and a tour guide both in English and in German. You (probably) won't have to worry about not being able to understand me on voice chats! :D At present, I run a successful Discord server with multiple tables (and awesome people there!), as well as a few games in-person in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Creating your character
Characters will be created by the group together during Sesion 0, using Demiplane character creator tool. If you're joining the game after Session 0, I'll run you through what we have so far and what people are playing. We can work out the details from there. I'm always open for a 1-on-1 session 0 to onboard new players!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Discord account and a decent microphone. Preferrably a quiet environment with low background noise for the duration of the session. The only other requirement is signing up to the Forge - the VTT we use for the game. Both of these are free to create and use as a player. You will also need to join the Discord server where the game is going to happen. You will receive the link to it in the Prep Materials section when you sign up to the game.
What Sergey Sakharov brings to the table
I'll bring a fully set up campaign on Foundry, complete with scenic art, battlemaps and tokens - everything you need to visualise your journey through the dark and terrifying locales of the Sundered Reach! The majority of the game takes place in Theater of the Mind, so I will have illustrated scenes, tokens and other visual aids to facilitate your imagination. Battlemaps may be used occasionally for complicated scenarios. I tend to follow the players' lead in the games. Most of the time my adventures are shaped as "landscapes", with multiple ways to achieve your goals. Railroading is usually not something I do.

How Sergey Sakharov creates a safe table
The setting of the Sundered Reach is a darker shade of fantasy. Despair, terrible acts of both people and monsters, eldtritch horrors - you can expect that aplenty. That said, there are a few lines that won't be crossed under any circumstances: - Explicit depiction of sexual encounters. They may be hinted at, but never "on screen". - No sexual assault of PCs or NPCs. - Gory naturalistic details of violence will be mostly given "at large". I don't delve into the massive amount of bloody details. We'll go over all Lines & Veils during session 0.
