About the adventure
This will be a full campaign running from 1-12 or 1-20 using published materials based on the Critical Role world of Exandria. It will start with an adventure from the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount for levels 1-3 and then continue on to the Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep module. At the conclusion of the published module I have homebrew options to take the group to level 20, or we can start a new adventure. The game will carry a nice balance of roleplay and combat, around 50/50. I am looking for a party of players who are dedicated to their characters and interested in taking part in the narrative components as well as the mechanical aspects of the game.

About me
As a lifelong tabletop RPG player and veteran Game Master, I have spent years refining not just my storytelling, but the entire atmosphere surrounding it. My Foundry VTT table is the result of thousands of hours of development, iteration, and obsessive attention to detail, built to deliver a deeply immersive online roleplaying experience that rivals and often surpasses what is possible at a physical table. Every environment is carefully constructed using high resolution animated maps, dynamic lighting, layered ambient soundscapes, curated musical scoring, environmental effects, and a wide suite of custom systems and automations designed to make the world feel alive. The goal is never simply to run combat encounters or move tokens across a screen. The goal is immersion. I want players to feel like they are stepping into a living world that reacts to them, remembers them, and pulls them deeper into the story every session. Over the years, I have developed an extensively customized Foundry setup featuring streamlined automation and quality of life systems that allow the game to flow naturally without sacrificing depth or complexity. Functional looting, harvesting, crafting, merchant systems, interactive journals, cinematic scene transitions, advanced quest tracking, visual effects, dynamic weather, and fully integrated character features all work together to create a polished and highly responsive tabletop experience. More importantly, all of that technology exists in service of the roleplay. My games are character driven, atmospheric, emotionally grounded, and heavily focused on player agency. I believe the best tabletop experiences happen when strong storytelling, meaningful choices, and immersive presentation all reinforce one another. This is not a barebones online game held together by dice rollers and Discord webcams. This is a fully realized virtual tabletop experience built by someone who genuinely loves the craft.

Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 1. We will roll for stats at session zero. If your stat roll is terrible you may opt for 27 point buy instead. Character creation and levelling up will take place through DND Beyond, where I will have a campaign set up with content sharing. Please feel free to start working on a character as soon as you sign up, keeping in mind that character creation will be limited to options that make sense for the world of Exandria. This doesn't restrict a lot, as forgotten realms and Exandria are fairly similar, but please keep the setting in mind when starting to create characters. Once we determine who and what our characters will be, we will determine what has brought them to Palebank village to start their adventure. and the game shall begin!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a decent microphone, a discord account (Free), a forge account (Free), a DND Beyond account (Free), and the Google Chrome browser installed. Please start thinking about your character ideas. You don't necessarily have to have anything done up for session zero, but it will help if you have at least started thinking about what you plan to do. If you already have an idea in mind, please send me any artwork you may want to use for your character. IMPORTANT: Before signing up, please review the recommended system specifications for Foundry VTT found here: https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/ . If your machine does not meet these requirements, the experience of playing through foundry may prove frustrating and at times non-functional.

How Squizard The GM creates a safe table
Character creation will be limited to options that exist inside the world of Exandria. Session zero will serve to polish off everyone's character ideas and discuss any boundaries the players may have in terms of content or themes. We will discuss safety tools and other housekeeping items in session zero as well. Levels 1 through 12 will be run out of the published module with a few enhancements, with homebrew options a possible option for continuation past that point. I am looking for a group of players that are aware of the basic mechanics of the game. This does not mean by any means that you need to be an expert, but you should have a solid understanding of how things like attack rolls and saving throws work, or how your turn works when you are in initiative. If you are interested in a campaign geared more toward beginners, please message me and we can talk about putting together a starter-set game geared toward learning the ropes. I would like to see metagaming limited as much as possible. Immersion will be an important aspect of this game, and your decisions should be made based on what your character would do in a given situation. Each player's turn in combat is not an opportunity for an OOC strategy meeting, but an opportunity for you to put yourself in the shoes of your character and respond to what is going on around them.
