About the adventure

🌠 Enter the Ruins. Face the Madness. Decide the Fate. Drakkenheim is no more. Once a thriving capital, it now stands shattered beneath a toxic haze, warped by the meteor that brought both arcane power and eldritch ruin. Fifteen years after the catastrophe, the city’s ruins lure treasure hunters, scholars, and soldiers alike, all chasing shards of delerium—crystals thrumming with unstable magic. Five factions vie for control: each with secrets, ambitions, and no shortage of blood on their hands. Whether you serve them, betray them, or rise above them, your choices will reshape what remains of Drakkenheim. This campaign is a blend of dark fantasy, political intrigue, urban ruin-crawling, and cosmic horror. You’ll explore haunted streets, navigate fragile alliances, face off against horrors born of madness, and uncover the truth behind the meteor. But beware—no one survives Drakkenheim alone, and even those who do rarely leave unchanged. šŸŽµ Original Song - https://suno.com/s/nj537sPMJWUaYSfU 🌠 What You Can Expect: ā˜£ļø Level Range 1–20: Begin as ambitious explorers and rise into legendary figures with the power to shape the city’s future—or hasten its doom. ā˜£ļø Homebrew Enhancements: Discover custom content in every arc—unique items, altered encounters, original NPCs, and new rules for contamination, delirium corruption, and faction reputation. ā˜£ļø Immersive Storytelling: Engage in a gritty, atmospheric narrative where every step into the city uncovers secrets, provokes conflict, and risks your mind, body, and soul. ā˜£ļø Visually Stunning Artwork: Explore animated maps with dynamic lighting and effects, and encounter beautifully curated art that brings each setting and character vividly to life. ā˜£ļø Curated Soundscapes: Immerse yourself in carefully chosen ambient tracks, cinematic music, and dramatic sound effects—plus player-triggered SFX for those perfect moments. ā˜£ļø Unique NPC Voices: Interact with characters who each speak in their own voice or accent—distinct, memorable, and crafted to make the world feel alive. ā˜£ļø Challenging Combat: Face mutated horrors, deadly rivals, and tactical scenarios where the wrong move can mean corruption—or death. ā˜£ļø Puzzle-Rich Gameplay: Solve mysteries, decipher arcane research, and navigate twisted ruins filled with traps, secrets, and morally gray decisions. ā˜£ļø Player-Driven Focus: Shape the story through your actions. I adapt the world and narrative to reflect your choices, goals, and evolving character arc. ā˜£ļø Bonus Level 1 Feat: Start with a free feat to give your character that extra edge—you're going to need it if you want to leave Drakkenheim alive. Reserve your spot now—before the haze takes hold and you forget who you were.

About me

Greetings, adventurers—and welcome to the table where stories come alive and legends are born. šŸŽ² I am Lord Malachi Draven—your dedicated Game Master for hire, storyteller, and architect of realms where legend, danger, and desire entwine. Whether you're seeking epic fantasy, seductive intrigue, or pulse-pounding encounters, I’ll be your guide through adventures forged in fire, fate, and imagination. šŸ§™ā€ā™‚ļø My love of worldbuilding was shaped by the sprawling landscapes of The Elder Scrolls and the rich, character-driven narratives of Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, and other legendary RPGs. These games didn’t just entertain me—they taught me the power of choice, consequence, and collaborative storytelling. That same philosophy fuels every game I run. šŸ”® At my table, the dice tell stories—ones that test your courage, tempt your curiosity, and leave your party begging for "just one more hour." Every session is tailored to your group’s playstyle, whether you crave deep roleplay, tactical combat, or cinematic storytelling with a flair for the dramatic. āš”ļø I welcome all players—from first-time adventurers to grizzled veterans. My sessions are inclusive, immersive, and designed to give everyone a moment to shine. Whether you prefer kingdom-shaking politics, monster-slaying dungeon crawls, or roleplay-rich character drama, you’ll find a story worth telling—and remembering. 🌌 The table is set. The dice are ready. Adventure awaits. Let’s roll!

Character creation

Creating your character

You can build your character on your own or during Session 0—we’ll set aside time for it. I’m happy to answer questions or walk you through the process at any point. 🧰 Where to Create You can build your character in D&D Beyond or directly in Foundry. Foundry is recommended if you're using third-party content, as D&D Beyond doesn’t support everything we allow. šŸ“š Allowed Sources āœ”ļø All official WotC content, excluding Eberron and Spelljammer. We use the 2024 rules. Subclasses can be updated if needed. āœ”ļø All Critical Role content. āœ”ļø Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting. āœ”ļø Valda's Spire of Secrets. āœ”ļø Other published sources may be approved—just ask! šŸŽ² Ability Scores āœ”ļø Point Buy (27 points) āœ”ļø Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) āœ”ļø Rolling—Roll 4d6 and drop the lowest die. Rolls must be made on Foundry. šŸ§™ Starting Level & Feat Characters begin at Level 1 and gain one free feat at character creation. 🧠 House Rule: Feats Feats no longer provide ability score bonuses. Instead, when you reach a level that grants an Ability Score Improvement (ASI), you’ll gain both the ASI and a Feat. šŸ“ Backstories I encourage writing at least a short backstory—just 1-2 paragraphs is plenty. But hey, if you want to write a novel, go for it! I read everything and love weaving it into the world. ------ If you’re unsure about anything, I’m always happy to help. You can message me with questions, ask for guidance, or even request a pre-made character.

Safety

How Malachi creates a safe table

Before Session 0, each player fills out a Player Questionnaire, which includes a Consent Checklist and a Lines & Veils form. This helps me tailor the campaign to your comfort level, flag sensitive topics, and highlight themes you enjoy. We’ll begin with a full Session 0, where we’ll go over safety tools, tone, boundaries, and what to expect at the table. This is also where we discuss communication preferences, table culture, and character creation. During play, we follow an Open Door Policy—you’re always free to step away at any time, no explanation needed. We also schedule short breaks during longer sessions to help everyone stay sharp and relaxed. After each session, I invite feedback through Stars & Wishes, where you can share what you loved and what you'd like to see more of in the future. This helps me adapt the game to better suit the group over time. These tools aren’t just for emergencies—they’re how I ensure the table stays respectful, responsive, and fun for everyone involved.
