About the adventure

Good morning Lancers. As part of the Pleiades initiative you are foremost arm of the ISPN and Union interests in fringe space, a new take on the Albatross, a more controlled program able to deliver help where-ever needed and bring planets into the loving embrace of the Union. Remember Lancer, you are the tip of the spear. Happy hunting. Of course no one told you when you signed up for the Pleiades Initiative that you were going to get stranded on this backwater of a system, no support, no reinforcements in the foreseeable future, only you and a system-full of hostiles. Perhaps its time for a creative approach? Stranded in the Kreinus system, lured there by a mysterious mayday signal you are in over your head. Various factions, some as stranded as you, and some here for a purpose - have turned this system into a warzone. But Navigating the warring idiots is only half of your concerns, something much older rouses in the darkest corners of the system. The game is meant to offer a but more freedom than Lancer usually does, providing an element of choice beyond your next sit-rep and allowing for the players to make their own way through the twisted setting of the Kreinus system.

About me

Hi, I am Sushi (The GM Eternal), I am a GM who has hosted games for almost 10 years over a dozen different systems and way more settings, modules and worlds ranging from the unexplored stars to the depth of ancient temples. In every case with largely the same goal I want to put my all into a world, a plot, an intrigue, a game and I want to share that creation with people who might find it wonderous, exciting and ultimately enjoyable. I was a Kid when I started all of this, by accident mind you, finding a dusty book with pictures that captured my imagination in the very dungeons they depicted. I have very fond memories of those times and I wish to share those feelings and that fantasy through my games. Thus here I am, humbly presenting my creations in the hopes it will find the appreciation I seek and in return you will receive an unforgettable and unique experience.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players joining will have to make LL2 characters prior to the first session, but Lancer is a complicated system especially to learn, so for those who want help with character creation we will arrange to have a few chats where I help with character creation and understanding the setting. We will be using materials from the base book and Operation Solstice Rain materials. Stuff from the Long Rim or Karrakin Trade Baronies needs to be run by the GM (me) first.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only things you would need is a microphone, and a character created on the COMPCON website. As detailed in the character creation, if you don't know how to do this don't worry, I will walk you through everything if you need any help.

What The GM Eternal brings to the table

To this virtual table of ours I shall bring of course the usuals, maps to visualize the vibrant battlefields of distant worlds. Music and sound effects, but most importantly of course - the story. The game will of course feature a lot of tactically challenging combat as that is bread and butter of a Lancer campaign. However there will also be ample room for roleplaying and discovering the story and mystery of distant worlds.

Homebrew rules

There won't be much in regards to Homebrew rules, save for a few modified enemies and a couple new enemy types, especially to keep the more seasoned players surprised and curious. And as rewards, the players will be able to obtain a variety of exotic gear, from the advanced and customized systems of the SSC to the down-right eldritch technologies of HORUS.

Safety

How The GM Eternal creates a safe table

I haven't ever had an issue with players getting upset with what has happened in my games, I will ask you if you have any lines you don't wish to be crossed during the campaign and any other things that would make you uncomfortable, and those won't come up in the game. If something does come up which makes you uncomfortable, you can always send me a message and leave the table. Afterwards things can be discussed, modified and worked through.
