About the adventure
Jack is feeling guilty. Julia seems unapproachable. Evan won't shut up. Dakota is panicking. And Charlie just got to Silent Falls on the Friday before winter break and has no idea what's going on. A quick text to the Charlie's friends in town reveals a startling turn of events: Alice, the friend at the center of their group, hasn't been seen since Wednesday. Texts and calls to Alice's mobile go unanswered They feel powerless to act, while the parents and police of the town have failed to find her. Charlie's arrival and questions have pushed the group into motion. The group splits up and finds themselves asking questions they're not sure they want to know the answers to. Time feels like it's running out as each clue has them wondering whether they actually knew their friend Alice at all. Alice is Missing: An immersive emotional RPG played without saying a word.

About me
As with every profile, it's a work in progress. Most ttrpg folks have a dice kink. I have a systems kink. I have more books and systems than I'm ever going to be able to play, but I am damn sure gonna try. Here to run games I love and explore games that others do. Want me to run something particular? Let's have a conversation and figure it out.

Creating your character
Alice is Missing uses pre-created characters that are provided as apart of the game (both analog and digital editions). The digital edition also allows you to customize your characters to some degree, so players have the option to customize characters (or completely create new ones).
This is an immersive non-verbal gm-less role-playing game that uses a custom VTT. Actual play of the game is about 90 minutes, but there is extra time allotted for safety tools discussion, choosing characters and some check ins afterwards. These games can go with just 2 players plus the facilitator, but 4 players is optimal.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Take a look at other GM-less games to get a feel for how they play. This one will be a bit different, as there is a digital tool to facilitate gameplay. Check out YouTube and watch an Actual Play of the game. For gameplay, we'll be using discord and the Alice is Missing digital VTT for our game, so you'll need a couple of things in order to be prepared. For discord: - A free discord account. - A working microphone. - headphones (recommended in case you're playing in an environment where others might hear the game). - a camera is recommended but not required. For for the Alice is Missing VTT: - A free account account at [aliceismissing.com](https://www.aliceismissing.com/). - A compatible browser that works with the VTT (Chrome is recommended). - NOTE: You do not need to own the digital version of the game. Just sign up for an account.
What Johnnie brings to the table
We'll be using new digital edition of Alice is Missing from Hunters's Entertainment, available via PixelTable. This will be a narrative first game. We'll tell a compelling story and use the digital tools to help us get there. This is also a GM-less game, so I will be serving as the facilitator for the game. I will also be playing a character in the story we will tell.

How Johnnie creates a safe table
Alice is Missing involves mature themes. We play the game to find out what happens. To help ensure everyone feeling secure with players bring to the story, we'll discuss content warning, use of the X-Card, lines and vials and the open door policy. Players are encouraged to bring additional suggestions for safety tools to the table so that they can feel secure in the game they're playing.
