About the adventure
Run by a 5★ DM with 1000+ hosted sessions and a focus on immersive roleplay, fast combat, and memorable storytelling. As a welcome bonus, your first session is FREE so you can get a feel for my DMing and the party! Drakkenheim is no more. An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors! - EXPLORATION. Characters embark on dangerous expeditions into monster-filled ruins, haunted streets, decrepit gardens, shattered mage towers, baroque cathedrals, and ancient castles to plunder treasure and solve mysteries. - INTERACTION. Five rival factions clash over the ruins of Drakkenheim. A tangled web of secrets, subterfuge, and sabotage awaits when the factions’ opposing objectives and your characters’ personal goals come into conflict! - COMBAT. Beyond fierce warriors dispatched by the factions, all manner of otherworldly horrors inhabit Drakkenheim. Characters battle undead husks, predatory beasts, mutated monstrosities, and terrifying abominations produced by the mysterious meteor.

About me
Welcome, adventurer! I'm Craig, your Dungeon Master and dedicated guide through the realms of imagination. With a lifelong love for storytelling and fantasy, I’ve made it my mission to run immersive, character-driven games where every choice matters and no two sessions are ever the same. As a DM, I focus on player agency, rich roleplay, and dynamic worlds that respond to your actions. I draw inspiration from mythology, epic fantasy, and a whole lot of late-night dice rolls to craft campaigns full of heart, humor, and high-stakes drama. Whether you’re a battle-hardened hero or brand new to the game, I’ll make sure you feel welcome, empowered, and part of something unforgettable. I design everything—from cities to dungeons—with care, always aiming to create moments that stick with you long after the session ends. So grab your dice, ready your character sheet, and join me at the table. Let’s tell incredible stories, face impossible odds, and share laughs along the way. I can’t wait to roll with you. https://linktr.ee/craigdnd

Creating your character
Character creation will take place before and during session 0, and I’ll work closely with each player to ensure your character fits the themes and tone of the campaign. I’m happy to help you brainstorm concepts, refine backstories, or figure out mechanics. Starting Level: 3 Stat Generation: Point Buy Hit Points: Max at level 1, fixed average after Books Allowed: All official 5e content + I'm open to Third party books also. Drakkenheim Content: New Drakkenheim content is available, including subclasses, and other options. Third Party Content: I’m open to allowing content from books such as Grimhallow, Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting. Character Sheets: Created and managed in DnD Beyond and/or in Foundry VTT. Levelling: Milestone levelling. Character Sheet: Please send me your sheet before your first session so I can check it over. Starting Equipment: Any nonmagical equipment is fine + One Uncommon Magic item of your choice. Feats: One free feat is allowed. During Session Zero, we’ll align expectations, establish party connections and finalize any character details. My goal is to ensure your character feels meaningful to the world and supported by the narrative from the very first session. All players, new or experienced, are welcome. If you need help building a character, I’m happy to walk you through the process step by step.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We use Discord for all voice chat, scheduling, and campaign communication. A link will be provided upon booking. The game is ran in Foundry VTT, a user account will be provided for you. Have a capable computer as Foundry won't run on tablets or mobile devices. A microphone is necessary and a webcam is optional.
What Craig brings to the table
I run a roleplay heavy game where you'll immerse yourself in the world and the colourful range of characters all voiced by me. Character voices for you are not mandatory but are welcome. I use background music/ambiance through a discord bot, sound effects are also occasionally used. I run a simple, efficient, fast paced combat style so things don't drag on for hours but don't expect an easy ride.
Homebrew rules
- Ammo: We do not track normal ammunition. Magical ammunition is tracked. - Food and Water: We do not track these. - Flanking: No flanking rules are used. This keeps combat quick and simple. - Spell Scrolls: Spell scrolls can be used by anyone, even if they are not a spellcaster or the spell is not on their class spell list. To cast the spell successfully, they must make an Arcana check with a DC of 10 + the spell’s level. On a failure, the scroll is wasted. - Nat 1s and Nat 20s: Natural 1s and Natural 20s matter outside of combat as well as in combat. A Natural 1 is always a failure, and a Natural 20 is the best possible outcome for that situation. However, a Natural 20 does not make the impossible possible. - Moving Through Spaces: Moving through an enemy’s space counts as difficult terrain and follows opportunity attack rules as normal. Moving through an ally’s space costs no extra movement. You cannot end your turn in another creature’s space, exceptions apply based on sizes of creatures involved. - Brutal Crits: When you or an enemy rolls a Natural 20 on an attack roll, the attack deals normal damage plus the maximum value of the additional critical dice. For example, a greatsword normally deals 2d6 + STR. On a critical hit, it deals 2d6 + STR + 12.

How Craig creates a safe table
During session 0, we’ll go over expectations, player goals, lines and veils, and any content you’d like to avoid or limit. I also have tools built into foundry that enable us to stop the game if necessary. And of course my DMs are always open in the event you need to drop me a quick message.
