About the adventure
This is a campaign about a party of investigators into magical threats to the people of a revolution-era fantasy America. Each chapter or adventure represents a new case assigned to your team. Magic and monsters are well known to exist, but most truly scary monsters in the old country were defeated ages ago; and magic is a rare thing. Your PC might be a rare magical individual, a skilled marksman, or keen inquisitive mind. Either way, you stand apart from the relatively mundane populace and the National Office of Inquisition has taken notice. Now you work for them alongside a team of other weirdos in hopes of getting to the bottom of what's causing the spree of occult crimes in your nascent country. There is an overarching plot that focuses on a grim government conspiracy, and your character's backstory/goals will be incorporated into the campaign. *** It is 1790 in the year of the Sunlord, and Dawnport is the capital of the new nation called Gloam. The emerging national government has assembled a taskforce of talented individuals overseen by the National Office of Inquisition. These special agents will investigate unexplained phenomena, combat supernatural threats, and recover dangerous artifacts in the service of their country. But some people are questioning why this new land has such a prolific number of occult crimes at all, and what the national government might be hiding. The Truth lieth yonder.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I have been Gamemastering tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) for 24 years. This is not my hobby: This is my passion. I spend more time on content creation and honing my craft than on any other single thing in my life. I also have a background in theater and I worked as a mentalist (basically, a "mind reading magician") throughout college and grad school. I love performing and consider GMing to be a performance art. Each session is a show for you, about you, and starring you as players. My job is to keep you entertained and engaged.

Creating your character
Please create a level 1 character using 4d6 (drop the lowest). If you want to use any 3rd party content please ask me about it first. Please note that in this setting, most people are humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, and halflings. You can play a more monstrous species for sure but most NPCs will be shocked and afraid of you, possibly mistaking you for a monster. You can create the character in roll20, DnD Beyond, in a PDF, on a napkin, or anywhere else as long as it is legible and you send me a copy.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a mic, computer, internet, roll20 account, and discord account. If you want to be on camera then have one of those too.
