About the adventure

The Shardlands is a realm born of ruin and mystery—a once-whole continent shattered by the Hollow Starfall, a cosmic cataclysm that struck the world 500 years ago. In the aftermath, lands now drift as floating shards, time flows unevenly across regions, and unstable planar rifts pulse with untamed energy. The gods who once watched over the world are gone—slain, scattered, or perhaps sleeping—and the magic they left behind is strange, volatile, and powerful beyond comprehension. Amid the wreckage, the people of the Shardlands endure. Ancient ruins whisper forgotten truths, and every fragment of land holds a piece of the past. Hope struggles against fear in a world where even power has a cost. Heroes rise not to restore what was, but to decide what will be. Their choices carry weight, not just for themselves, but for the very fabric of reality. Four powerful factions shape the future. The Dawnbearers, a knightly order, fight to preserve law and light in an unraveling world. The Hollowborn, mad or enlightened, follow the whispers of the Hollow Star and seek its return. The Guild of Iridescent Truth charts the mysteries of magic and time, hungry for knowledge. Meanwhile, the Verdant Accord believes the world is not ending—but changing—and that embracing the wild is the key to survival. In the Shardlands, every step forward echoes with the past, and every legacy comes at a price.

About me

Welcome Adventurers! I have been playing and running TTRPG for 20 years. I try to make my games as immersive as possible by using a massive collection of ambient music, character voicing, and even some cosplay nights! I love learning new systems and games so nothing is off the table! If you have some obscure or niche game that you would like to play I am always down to try it out. I have run very complex games like EXALTED to very simple games like Goblin Quest and my preferred style is somewhere in the middle with a heavy focus on narrative and fun at the table.

What Jonny | Badger Den Games brings to the table

All the books and materials you will need! I enjoy using different voices to denote a variety of caricatures and making use of ambient sounds and music to help set the tone for the session. I don't expect players to use different character voices (but your welcome to) and all background music volume can be adjusted by the player to fit their comfort level. I am definitely a Rule of Cool GM but the rules are there for a reason and I will generally stay within reasonable bounds of them.
