About the adventure

When a group of Goats manage to escape the safety of their paddock, it is vital they are tracked down and returned to safety as soon as possible. The troublesome creatures are liable to get themselves into all sorts of scrapes if allowed to roam unattended for too long. This is a light-hearted, rescue focused one-shot taking place on a craggy hillside environment... Curtesy of One-shot Wonders - beginners welcome. Can you return the lost goats before any harm can befall them?

About me

I am a fan of fantasy and sci-fi as well as a closet theatre kid. I got into TTRPGs a few years ago and more recently decided to try my hand at GMing. Since I am new, I am open to constructive feedback. I appreciate a balance of roleplay and exciting combat as well as a mixture of modules and homebrew. I use official rules as guidelines and expand or tweak as I feel necessary for the sake of narrative and/or overall fun.

Homebrew rules

-Healing Potions can be drunk or administered to another creature as a bonus action according to the 2024 rules, but choosing to do so as an action instead will guarantee max possible healing from the potion. -When landing a critical hit, rather than roll the damage die twice, we will instead roll like normal and add the max damage for the die - This will NOT apply to landed attacks with an adamantine weapon (damage dice will just be rolled twice in that case) unless the attack roll is a crit. -Heroic Inspiration can be used to reroll 1 d20 roll, 1 damage die roll, or force 1 enemy to reroll 1 saving throw that you inflict on them. -If a creature near you is subjected to a DEX saving throw - As a reaction, you can move up to half your movement speed to position yourself within between that creature and the source of the damage (and within 5ft of said creature) effectively shielding them with your body - this will ensure they pass their DEX save but also ensure that you fail your own. -Creativity is encouraged, but be sure to be mindful and respectful of the other people at the table. -Multi-classing is allowed, but your character's stats must meet necessary requirements without the aid of magic items (For Example: if your character's Strength score is >13 (after base, bonuses and feats) you cannot multiclass into a Barbarian, even if they are attuned to the Gauntlets of Ogre Power)
