About the adventure

Forge an epic story with a table of critters and join me for the best Daggerheart Campaign of your life! I have run over 1700 professional games, focusing on building a story around players' characters! When most GMs refused to play with critters, I (a critter myself) launched Pro GM games designed for those who love Critical Role and the play style. I will bring that love of story, collaboration, and improvisation to your character! We will learn the system from the beginning as each player helps craft the vibe, locations, and even parts of the BBEG! I can not wait to play with you! This starts with the launch of Daggerheart on May 20th!

About me

Matt here! I fell in love with tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) playing Dungeons & Dragons in 1989. I was eight years old, over at my friend's house, and their older brother ran the game. Though the game only lasted three weeks, I was hooked on the story, world-building, and absolute joy of the game. However, I couldn't find anyone to run e-games or be a Game Master. So, I accepted that role and turned as many friends I could into players, then began turning any players I could find into friends. My first love is the story and characters, and combat keeps it interesting. For a long time, a company called White Wolf made my favorite games. I ran those for years and gave up on D&D because most people I found at the time liked the rules more than the story, and I could never find people who enjoyed both. Then, Critical Role brought everyone out of the woodwork! After watching their streams along with Relics and Rarities, I started to explore D&D games again. And I couldn't be happier about this! About a year ago, I started making steps to turn my 30 years of experience and passion for D&D into a full-time, sustainable career. In one year, I found terrific players and, by the grace of God, have been able to become a full-time storyteller in the TTRPG space. See you at the table! I hope you will join the games and make amazing friends as we battle and work through fantasy life together.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will create characters on Demiplane. You can make the character before the first session. But be prepared for flexibility as we will determine the tone and many aspects of that campaign as a table.

The current party

We have chosen the Wild Westish Colossus of the Drylands Frame!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A microphone will be required, and a webcam is highly encouraged and will help us all have a better game. The characters will be made on Demiplane, and I will need a link to your character. We stream each game.

What Matt brings to the table

I am bringing a story customized and written around your party, physical battle maps I will craft based on your choices, and custom-printed & painted miniatures of your characters so you can see them on the battle map. After six paid sessions, all players can ask for duplicates of their mini's to be mailed if in continental U.S.

How Matt creates a safe table

The gameplay will involve social interactions, intercharacter development, exploring, combat, etc. At our session 0, we will discuss our limits/preferences and how we will express them.
