About the adventure
Space is busy - always has been. Trade is flourishing between worlds, while people visit everything that they can. Mercenaries fight pirates, while criminal syndicates make money by breaking the law. To anyone who has a spaceship, the rich Zagrab sub-sector is a real cheese board of opportunity! A whole world of deals, friends, foes, riches and places to peacefully rest from it all. However, just a few jumps away, it ends. This is the fringe, which means, that only darkness and cold awaits those who venture out. Deep-space black sites, tales of horror from unfortunate souls who perished there, secrets of the space itself. To anyone who has a spaceship, the cold abyss just outside the Zagrab sub-sector is a real gold mine - so mesmerizing by it's glow, while threatening to kill you in a deadly collapse. The setting of the game - Zagrab sub-sector - was created while I had no clue about Traveller lore, apart from few things. So you can expect a lot of homebrew lore, and that I will thoroughly butcher original lore! The game will have big emphasis on exploration, and contrast between busy, cozy and welcoming settled space - and cold, uncaring deep space, with many things to uncover in both those parts. Expect very good dose of roleplay, and a good mix between wacky and serious situations. Sometimes this mix might go out of control (my players compared some of my games to Korean dramas, with how often tone of the session changes sometimes).

About me
People usually call me LSD, but any derivative of my username will suffice. The main thing about my games, is the fact that I can bring a lot of different themes and moods in a way that doesn't feel forced. Your characters will be unwinding in a bar, and a conversation will flow to a painful dialogue about insecurities and old wounds, until a certain phrase of a fact will bring forth and overarching mystery, and after short while, things will return back to shooting bad guys. And all of that will have a suiting music, narration and atmosphere. The biggest example of that in media is Yakuza series. Where you stumble upon a gruesome crime scene, tension is high, some characters start to panic, and 2 cutscenes later you have a bossfight against a construction crane. Other then that, I am: - DMing since 2019 - Focus on long campaigns, the longest of mine was going for 2 years - Most of my games have a serious tone, but I do give players plenty of times to do funny or relaxing things - My main focus is player characters, and journey that they will have "Only I know how this story will end, but only you know, how your character will end it." Currently DM on Foundry, but I just recently moved to it.

Creating your character
Character creation will be collectively held on Session 0. I will provide planet list for the playable subsector, and your characters will have to be born there. Specific planet can be rolled, or chosen (your choice). Stats will be decided via boon method (we will roll 2d6 four times, and 3d6 (discarding lower die) two times), assigning resulting numbers freely between each stat. We will follow character creation from 2023 corebook, with additional Pre-career options from 2024 Companion. Careers from Companion, however, are not available. You can play as aliens, of course, but will still be born and/or raised in human-like culture, and such, will not follow species-specific character creation rules. For specific species, you can't play as: Robots (rules for playable robots are a bit too vague for me) The dolphins and orcas (I don't really like em) As for pre-career life, (as in, bio of a character before they turn 18) it's up to you.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You need to have: 1) Discord account 2) Microphone 3) Headphones 4) Radmin VPN (it's free) You need to know: 1) Corebook rules for Mongoose Traveller 2E 2) How TTRPG's work in general What you don't need: 1) Webcam (I don't use them at my table) 2) Premade character (we will do character creation on Session 0) 3) Prior Traveller experience (if you played it before - good. If not - it's okay)
What LSD_Heroin brings to the table
You can expect me to make this game in response to your characters. First 2-3 sessions will be "general traveller stuff," but after that some more PC-specific stuff will appear. Even the plot itself will emerge to fit your party. Naturally, interactions between characters - within party, and outside it - is one of the main focuses of the game. As such if you have any thought, idea or concept about your character - from major plot point to random trivia - I will gladly listen to it, give my input and probably implement it in the game. As per less broad things - I do (or at least try to) different voices for characters. Not very different, but I try to make it more expressive of specific character. You can also expect a lot of music. Like, 5 gigabytes lot. Also, I do try to adhere to RAW, but I may change-up some rules if they are actively not fun. And, if everything is going really bad for you, I will probably give things to bounce back, both in-game, and with dice-rolls (like rerolls, for example). Also, expect me to steal stuff from different games, to the point of almost completely ripping entire characters and plot points. I will adapt them to the game, of course. If you are interested, my main sources of inspiration for this game are: Rimworld (mega-cursed); Starsector (cursed); Space Rangers (wacky & goofy stuff).

How LSD_Heroin creates a safe table
At Session 0 we will discuss characters, wants and wishes for the game, and go over Consent Checklist, and unacceptable themes. Session 0 will also be used for character creation. Breaks are possible, but not mandatory. As in, if anyone calls for a break - it will be held. If no one needs it - we will just continue playing. Debriefs are more technical - as in, we discuss positives and negatives, more then our emotions (not to say that we won't discuss them, but they are not the focus), as well as wishes and wants.
