About the adventure
You died with regrets—trapped by fear, bitterness, shame, or loneliness. But death wasn’t the end. In Tabra: The Tale of the Meta-Gamers, you and others like you have been reincarnated into a vast and mythic fantasy world shaped by elemental magic, ancient secrets, and fractured kingdoms. You remember your old life on Earth—and it wasn’t a good one. But now, you’ve been given a second chance… not just to live, but to matter. Each character in this campaign carries two truths: a deep personal Flaw that haunted their life on Earth, and a passionate Obsession—a skill or fascination that shaped them. That Obsession now helps define how they survive, fight, and influence the world of Tabra. Together, the party must confront a realm darkened by the rise of a mage-tyrant, the 'Archon of Merit', who betrayed the continent and people of Gald to the Once-Banished Demon King, for power. Now Gloomhold has fallen, the first country conquered by the Demon King, and the other 6 Kingdoms call for Heroes to slay them Both. This is a story of second chances. A tale where character growth is not just possible, but central. You’ll explore kingdoms torn by doubt, learn magic shaped by belief and emotion, and build bonds with people who will challenge and change you—just as you may change them. This is a campaign that rewards vulnerability and committed roleplay. If you love Re:Zero, Final Fantasy, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, .Hack, or Suikoden, and want a game that blends anime-style epic drama with emotional depth, then this is the table for you. Roleplay, character development, and theming are the heart of the story—mechanics serve the narrative, not the other way around. This is your second life. What will you make of it?

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi, I'm Cloudheart! I'm a storyteller, worldbuilder, and Game Master who has a past in Video Game Design and Programming. We currently livestream two ongoing campaigns weekly on Twitch.TV/CloudheartTV: - Pathfinder 2e Kingmaker: Misfits — a chaotic kingdom-building journey through the wild Stolen Lands. - TABRA: The Tale of the Meta-Gamers - an equal parts comedy and drama filled isekai journey in a JRPG-fare land beset by the Demon King. - Elder Scrolls: Gaol - a gritty take on the world and lore of The Elder Scrolls series following a group of prisoners forcibly converted into Penal Soldiers for the Empire of Cyrodiil. I focus on weaving player choices deeply into the narrative, making sure your characters genuinely impact the world around them, and the world impacts *you*. Our games explore mature themes — including survival, politics, and personal struggle — always handled with respect for the players and the story. If you’re looking for a table where storytelling, worldbuilding, and player agency take center stage, I’d love to have you join the journey!

Creating your character
Before your first session, I’ll meet with you 1-on-1 via Discord and FoundryVTT to walk through character creation and bring you up to speed with the current party level and story arc. We’ll go over how to build your character in FoundryVTT, review the core rules of Fabula Ultima, and discuss the custom elements for this campaign—such as your character’s Earth Name, Obsession, Flaw, and how they were reincarnated into Tabra. I’ll also provide you with helpful guides and reference material through our campaign Discord to make the process smooth and collaborative. Whether you’re a veteran roleplayer or brand new to TTRPGs, I’ll help you build a character that fits both the mechanics and the story we’re telling together.

What Cloudheart brings to the table
I run Tabra: The Tale of the Meta-Gamers through FoundryVTT, enhanced with a fully customized UI experience designed to capture the look and feel of playing a JRPG—only shared with real people. From animated combat menus and stylized UI frames to scene transitions, status effects, and visual FX, I’ve developed and integrated code, plugins, and modded assets to make the experience feel like you're playing a high-quality, emotionally immersive game from the golden age of RPG storytelling. Fabula Ultima doesn't use battlemaps by design, the battlescreen instead resembles a typical turn-based JRPG, and narrative scenes will have theater-of-the-mind with animated screens, all supported by a rich soundtrack made up of carefully curated JRPG-style ambient, cinematic, and combat music, with sound effects for major abilities and moments. I voice NPCs, both dramatically and playfully, depending on tone. And I collaborate with professional artists to commission custom character portraits that truly bring your reincarnated hero to life. I provide all the Fabula Ultima core rules, campaign-specific lore handouts, and digital character sheets through Foundry and Discord. I also offer personal onboarding and creative brainstorming to help you shape a character that fits the emotional and thematic depth of the campaign. Lastly, this game will be livestreamed on Twitch (CloudheartTV) with the option for VOD and highlight reels. Player consent is always discussed beforehand, and I’ll work with you to ensure you’re comfortable with your visibility, credit, and how your character appears on stream.
Homebrew rules
