About the adventure
The Lost Mine of Phandelver is a classic D&D adventure full of ancient secrets, strange magic, and the quiet pull of something powerful buried beneath the hills. It’s a story of discovery of treasure, danger, and who your character chooses to become along the way. This game is a welcoming space for everyone, whether you’ve never rolled a die before or you’ve been playing for years. I focus on creating a supportive, low-pressure environment where you can explore roleplay at your comfort level and learn the rules as you go. I’ll work with you one-on-one if needed to make sure you feel confident and involved every step of the way. Session 0 is free, so you can meet the group, ask questions, and settle into the story before anything kicks off. Come as you are—let’s build something great together.

About me
I'm a passionate Dungeon Master in my early 20s with a deep love for storytelling, worldbuilding, and immersive roleplay. I’ve dedicated myself to crafting unforgettable narratives, weaving intricate storylines that seamlessly intertwine with player backstories to create a truly personal and engaging experience. Beyond the game table, I’m a theatre actor. One of my favorite things about DMing is bringing characters to life with rich personalities, dynamic voices, and emotional depth. I’m also a cast member in a D&D podcast, which has promoted me to grow more as a DM and to create cinematic moments and thrilling rp opportunities! I believe that TTRPGS are at their best when every player feels empowered to explore their creativity. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to the game, I strive to create a welcoming space where your choices drive the story forward, and your character's journey truly matters.

Creating your character
Starting out for character creating you're totally welcome to use anything in the works of 5e (Including books like Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything etc.). I do not put many limits on players as long as the material is within the expanded works of 5e. We will be using point point buy for stats! You are always welcome to create your character before the session zero, but there's no pressure either way. If you would prefer to work on your character during the session 0 that totally works, and I'll be there to support people if they need it. Before the first session I will also be very open to meeting with people one on one to help them with anything they need! For the backstory, I definitely encourage you to write as much as you want. Some players get more enjoyment from writing long and intricate backstories, while some like to write more concise ones--either is fine! Either way, just try to get something for where you're character is from, people they would know, and whatever motivated them to pursue adventuring/traveling. Make sure everything is within the context of the forgotten realms :) The starting level for this campaign is level 1. Please feel free to reach out if you think there's anything I missed or if you have any questions!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You must have a Discord, a ForgeVTT account and a working microphone! Other than that if you have a webcam that you would like to use you may but nobody is under any obligation to!
What Arthur brings to the table
My players can expect a variety of things that I think make my games lively and interesting. This may include music from a variety of games, movies, and TV shows, thought-provoking social encounters, intense combat (if this is your preference), custom-made battle maps, and more! As you'll be able to tell from my DM style very quickly, I am very supportive of different play styles and generally pretty lenient to whatever I think will bring players a good game!
