About the adventure

Welcome to the Windy City… An explosion has ripped through the iconic Succubus Club during a meeting of the Primogen Council. The physical damage was contained, but the social fallout is catastrophic. The Camarilla is reeling. The Anarchs are circling like sharks. And one of the city’s most trusted Kindred, a Primogen, appears to be the traitor responsible. Now, Chicago stands on the brink. The Primogen are scrambling to regain control and contain the damage. Anarchs see an opportunity to strike while the Cam’s fractured. And in the shadows, someone is pulling strings, waiting for the perfect moment to seize power. You must choose. Will you side with the Camarilla and hunt down the culprit to restore order? Will you join the Anarchs in their bid to dismantle the Tower once and for all? Or will you forge a new path, using the chaos to carve out your own place in Chicago’s underworld? The night is yours, neonate. Whose side will you be on?

About me

Hi! Welcome, stranger and potential friend! I know your time is valuable, so I'll start with The Most Important Thing: I work hard to make my games as safe and inclusive as possible. I've had the experience of being The Only Girl at the Table. In a game featuring vampires and other supernatural creatures, I've been told that I can't play a warrior or a scholar because that's "not realistic." I've had the experience of playing in games where the only female NPCs were barmaids. I've also been queerbaited and/or played in games that only featured same sex relationships as fantasies for the rest of the players or as punchlines. It's my goal to make my games the EXACT OPPOSITE of those experiences by creating an environment where marginalized players can be themselves and see themselves in the games they play. My adventure in the wild world of professional GMing began with a misfortune. I was on the path to being a lifelong academic when I caught Covid during the first wave. I was seriously ill. I spent a great deal of time in bed and a great deal of time recovering. Those long, empty days gave me a lot of time to think about my major life decisions. Ultimately, it was this self-examination that led me here! Needless to say, my fun with TTRPGs began well before my foray into academia. I started playing Vampire the Masquerade when I was only 13 years old! I ran my first VtM game shortly after I became a player. In addition to VtM, I've been both player and storyteller for Werewolf, Changeling, Hunter, and Wraith- with a little D&D and Monster of the Week sprinkled in for good measure. I'm also a lifelong horror fan. When I'm not consuming horror via film, I like to read EC comics and bad horror/pulp novels! I've linked my IG and my Discord, so come hang out with me on the socials!

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will decide on character concepts together during Session 0, with the assistance of the Storyteller. Collectively, players will also choose a coterie concept. Players joining after Session 0 will create their characters independently, using the Character Creation Summary in the core book and with the assistance of the ST. Sect will be determined during Session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

This game takes place online, so players will need an internet connection, a Discord account, and a free Roll20 account. Players will also need a mic; webcams are recommended, but not required. Players are encouraged to familiarize themselves with VtM Clans and the character creation process prior to Session 0.

What Byrne Baby Byrne brings to the table

I run fast-paced games that lean into the horror elements of Vampire the Masquerade. My VtM campaigns take place within a shared universe, so the actions of one coterie can have a far-reaching impact on the universe itself.

Safety

How Byrne Baby Byrne creates a safe table

Lines and Veils will be established during Session 0 and recorded in a document on the VTT. Players that join after Session 0 will have an opportunity to contribute to the list during onboarding. Digital safety cards are also enabled on the VTT, so players will always be able to stop uncomfortable scenes.
