About the adventure
Welp! The Clockmaker is missing, the newly coronated Queen of Hearts has been terrorizing Wonderland for 20 some odd years and there are bigger, badder and meaner entities working in the shadows to usurp Wonderland from the gods themselves. You play as A denizen of Wonderland or someone who has dropped in from another place entirely, but regardless of your origin, you are somehow lead on a path to save Wonderland from forces that have finally begun to tip the balance or good and evil. If you have dropped in, the only way to get home is to use the same power that is needed to right the scales of power. Will you be able to save Wonderland and/or get home? Come hop into the colorful chaos and test your luck!

About me
Hiya! I'm Stephanie, Steph for short. I haven't been GMing for super long (about a year) and about the same time as a player, but I'm excited to tell some great stories with you!

Creating your character
Characters are to be created before session one, but I'm more than happy to help if there are any questions before hand or during session zero after I have explained a bit of the lore for this version of Wonderland. For this campaign you start at level 4. Use any books that you have on DND Beyond to create your character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For this game you would need a mic as we will play over discord but webcams are optional. If you haven't already, there is something called beyond 20 that will let you roll from your Character sheet on DND Beyond to Roll 20. If you need the link, I am more than happy to send it to you. I will need backstories for your characters before session 1.
What Effy brings to the table
I'm a rule of cool type of DM. If you can make it make sense, then I'll more than likely oblige, especially since my game is a homebrew. I do use common sense consequences in my games such as, "Yes you may pickpocket this person, but watch your surroundings in this crowded area." and things of that nature. I am still getting used to doing different accents for NPCs and my game will be roleplay heavy. I expect my players to respect one another and to be inclusive when it comes to their party members. I only give one chance for correction before I ask a player to leave the table. I do give inspiration to my players for great roleplay and funny moments or even great camaraderie between players.
Homebrew rules
Critical Hits are max damage plus rolled damage. Death Saving throws are accompanied by a core memory from a point in you character's backstory. There are added stats unique to this homebrew campaign that will affect your characters in different ways to be expounded upon in session 0.

Safety
How Effy creates a safe table
When it comes to safety tools, I go over Lines and Veils during session 0 and post those to the discord so everyone is able to see them. I also take breaks at about the halfway mark of the session so if we need restroom breaks, water or snacks we can do so. t the end of particularly emotional or hard sessions I go around and make sure that everyone is okay and able to separate themselves from their characters. I will ALWAYS stop a session if asked to and address issues as soon as I am made aware if I haven't caught it myself. I have an open door policy when it comes to any of my players as I want you all to have the best experience at my table.
