About the adventure
The Blight is rising. From the blighted Korcari Wilds to the south, hordes of darkspawn are spilling forth, a tide of death and corruption threatening to engulf the land of Ferelden. Despite this, few heed the warnings. Only the ancient and secretive order of Grey Wardens truly understands the peril, and they alone can rally the realm against the Archdemon that seeks to consume the world. You are one of the last of these legendary heroes, a Warden recruit facing the monumental task of uniting a fractured and mistrustful land. Will you earn the loyalty of the elusive Dalish elves, navigate the treacherous political landscape to broker peace between the warring mages and templars, and bravely confront the encroaching darkness head-on? Or will your decisions inadvertently pave the way for Ferelden's utter ruin? This is a one-on-one (duet) roleplaying experience where you, the player, will take on the pivotal role of a Grey Warden. In a duet game, the story is intimately focused on your character's journey, with the Game Master (GM) acting as your companions, the myriad inhabitants of the world, and the guiding hand of fate. The choices fall squarely on your shoulders. The GM will present you with complex situations where every decision has significant and personal consequences ============================================= This is a play-by-post duet campaign to be held asynchronously over Discord. The beauty of this format is that you can contribute whenever you have the time, making it perfect for those with busy schedules or living in different time zones. You add to the story at your own pace, allowing ample time to consider your character's actions, reactions, and the unfolding narrative. Through text-based communication, you will have the freedom to carefully shape your Warden's actions and interactions, fostering rich character development and intricate storytelling. The GM will, in turn, bring the world and its inhabitants to life with detailed descriptions and responses. Our combat and exploration system is designed to strike a perfect balance, allowing for engaging play-by-post gameplay that stays true to the essence of tabletop roleplaying. How to prepare
This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with a dice roller bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. I can link a Forge (Foundry) game to roll and integrate that, but it's not required. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. You will get to experience the story and the roleplay, while also learning about--or getting more experience with--play-by-post format and Avrae. You do not need to know Avrae, or any of the other tools. I can teach you. What I provide
There are two GMs! You can choose your preference. We will be teaching you the AGE System as we go. The Discord (either Dreams' Discord, or a private one, your preference) will have a dice bot, and form for your character sheet. We will work with you one-on-one to integrate your character into the story. The Game Masters: 🔷Enigma GMs with the help of various tools about 20 years of experience with text roleplay. He prefers long-form writing. If you want extremely immersive, thorough posts, go with him. 🔷 Dreams (who has more than 20 years experience), tends towards a quicker style. Shorter, more to the point posts throughout the day.

We hope to make a place where all can feel accepted, regardless of race, gender, beliefs. 👨🏾🦲♾️🏳️🌈 Safety tools will always be in effect; this game is a safe and inclusive place. We will use safety cards, Monte-Cooke consent form, lines and veils, and any other safety tools the group needs. How will character creation work
The date is 9:30 Dragon. As the darkspawn emerge from the Deep Roads, your character will join or assist the Grey Wardens, striving to save the land from devastation. This guide walks you through creating your hero for this adventure. I will share the Dragon Age (Fantasy Age) core rulebook for you to create your characters from. We can work together to create the character. As for rolling stats, it depends on what you'd prefer (generally I have you roll 4d6 (reroll 1s) 8 times, and then reroll another set if you don't like that) Homebrew (third-party) content is fine!
