Creating your character

Daggerheart's full release is on May 20th, we will talk more about character creation as we come closer to that date. I'm happy to help you craft a character and help bring your hero to life together! I encourage players to bring their own unique ideas and creativity to their character's backstory. I then craft the world and story around the players characters. I can also make a pre-generated character sheet if you'd like to just jump in. I will have a channel in the campaign's Discord server where players can discuss character creation and I set up private chats for each player so you can speak directly with me about your character.

Preparing for the session

- Working Microphone - Stable Internet Connection - Free Roll20 Account (Roll20 works best on a computer) - Free Discord Account - Free Demiplane Account - Headphones - Working Webcam (optional) Rolling will be on Roll20 along with music and visuals to immerse you in the game. We will also use the Daggerheart nexus on Demiplane.

What Em brings to the table

I create highly immersive experiences including voice acting, thematic music, engaging background images, portraits for NPCs, and custom-made maps, tokens, effects, monsters, and other visual aids. My games are sandbox worlds based on and crafted for your characters and their backstories, decisions, and actions. My games and style are heavily influenced by Dimension 20 and Critical Role. My games often have a focus on roleplay and exploration but I tailor games to the group and am happy to balance puzzles and combat in that mix however the group prefers! I play by the rule of cool and love narrative Nat 20s and 1s. I have a firm grasp of the rules but I'm also flexible with what makes the best story and experience. I offer a paid Roll20 account and my expertise with both Roll20 and Discord.

How Em creates a safe table

I prioritize fun, inclusivity, respectful interaction, and fostering a creative and cooperative atmosphere. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all players, I use safety tools. I have all players fill out a brief survey of Lines, Veils, and expectations before we start playing. I then share the anonymised results with the group before session 0. Session 0 is free and where we will discuss expectations. I utilize the X card and encourage players to message me privately at any time. I also do check-ins after sessions. There is no sexual assault, homophobia, racism, sexism, genocide, transphobia, or explicitly described sex in my games. (I have also been told my games are good for people with Aphantasia or who have difficulty with theater of the mind, because of my heavy use of visuals). My games use Discord, Demiplane, and Roll20. I love teaching players to use Roll20 and Discord so don't hesitate to join because of lack of experience! And if you prefer to create your character sheet in another way and send it to me that is totally cool!
