About the adventure

Learn this exciting new game from one of the most experienced Daggerheart GMs on the planet! With over 150 sessions and 500+ hours ran professionally since beta in 2024, there isn't a better place to learn than right here. Please read the "Party Notes" for campaign details! 🔵 Learn a new tabletop system! 🟣 Engage in collaborative roleplay and worldbuilding! 🔵 Think strategically in thrilling tactical combat! 🟣 All while playing with real miniatures and terrain, live streamed just for you! Daggerheart is an innovative 2d12 system from Darrington Press, the publishing arm of Critical Role, that puts you in the shoes of a party of heroic adventurers. This is a system that emphasizes improv and storytelling while also offering inspired game mechanics. Highly speculated to be the replacement for D&D 5e in CR's next campaign (emphasis on speculated!), Daggerheart is THE next big thing in the world of fantasy tabletop. ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── I'll let some of my players tell you what you can expect at my tables! 🤩 "Bryan is a real professional GM. He knows the rules in and out [...]. Playing with Bryan is playing made easy. I'd 100% recommend Bryan to anybody looking to have a a real professional GM experience and he is so good you'll never want to go back. If you are the type of person worried about all the work that goes into a campaign, seriously Bryan is for you." - Nate 🤩 "Best GM I've ever met playing over 25 years. Great storytelling, knowledgeable, flexible, knows how to have fun. Greatly recommend." - Felix 🤩 "Bryan has been an amazing DM. [...] Bryan is great at adjusting to player choices and is excellent at improvisation. As a Trans person, Bryan provides a safe space for players. Games are fun, exciting and this the most I've been invested in a character in a long time. I love our sessions and look forward to them all week." - Cece 🤩 "Bryan/OddSquirrel is an AMAZING GM who really cares that his players have fun and enjoy their time at the table. He creates wonderful scenescapes, interesting puzzles and story hooks, and knows when to let the players give themselves just enough rope to get themselves into trouble and have more fun. I cannot recommend him enough." - Brandon 🤩 "Bryan's a great DM. [...] He's creative, inclusive/safe, knows the rules, uses the rule of cool, sets the mood with audio, has incredible visual aids, terrific story teller, he's patient and knowledgeable for beginners, has great voices, and does wonderful world building. An all around incredibly talented DM/GM. And he knows a variety of tabletop systems, and is always open to learning more, so he's also very flexible, and versatile, and fun to play with." - Eric

About me

I'm Bryan (he/him/40yo), and I've been GMing since I started improvising games with my friends 26 years ago. I enjoy running thematic, engaging games, incorporating music, handouts, and other elements to make each game feel alive. As a military veteran, I know what it's like to wrangle a group of people from different backgrounds, and I use that to facilitate the engaging and memorable games I host. I enjoy combat, but I think it's important to balance that with social roleplay, puzzles, and other interactions. Everything should happen with purpose and drive the game forward. Let's roll some dice!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be part of our session zero as we follow the modular Daggerheart system to create interesting and exciting heroes to embark upon our adventure!

The current party

This Learn to Play campaign will teach you the basics of Daggerheart and get you right into the action to familiarize you with the system and its mechanics! No experience or prior knowledge necessary; beginners welcome and encouraged! New players will need to schedule a special one-on-one session with the GM to learn the basics of the game, make a character, and find a place within the world we're creating together. Session 0 is charged at the normal session rate. This over-the-top Waterworld-style anime campaign will have you sailing vast seas, diving below the waves, and fending off the fascist mainland government.
