About the adventure
The life of an adventurer isn’t new to you. You’ve spent years battling foes, uncovering secrets, and traveling across the land. But when Lord Neverember of Neverwinter summons you, there’s a feeling unlike anything before. Something big is happening. This is a campaign for players who love character moments, a bit of chaos, and unraveling mysteries that stretch far beyond the Material Plane. You’re starting at level 10, which means your characters already have a past; legends, regrets, deep scars. This game will focus on roleplay, storytelling, exploration, character growth, and challenging combat. Horror will be a recurring theme, but expect moments of levity to break through when they’re needed most. If you enjoy a balance of storytelling and combat, love immersion, and want a game where your character truly matters...this is the one for you!

About me
Story-Driven DM | Roleplay & Combat Balanced | 7 Years of Experience Howdy, adventurers! I've been rolling dice and shaping worlds for 7 years, with 4 years of experience as a Dungeon Master/Game Master. My DM style is roleplay-heavy, story-immersive, and character-driven, with plenty of challenging and unique combat to keep things exciting. I've run Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Out of the Abyss, Wild Beyond the Witchlight (completed), and dozens of one-shots, both homebrewed and published. On the side, I’m also running my own homebrew campaign spanning the multiverse, blending high adventure, deep lore, and player-driven storytelling. For me, a great D&D game is a collaboration since we're all here to tell an epic story together, and I love incorporating my players’ ideas to make the world feel alive. Whether you're uncovering ancient mysteries, forging legendary bonds, or facing down terrifying foes, I bring passion and energy to every session. If you're looking for a DM who values player agency, engaging storytelling, and a balance of roleplay and combat, then let's embark on an unforgettable adventure together!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
To join the game, you’ll need a Discord profile for voice chat in our server. A working mic is needed. There’s no need for a camera unless you have accessibility concerns; we can talk it if needed. You’ll also need a Roll20 account to access the game link. All the important game info, session 0 details (including content warnings, expectations, and so on), and character creation info will be provided in handouts in the Roll20 game, so everything you need will be right there for easy access!
What GM Cory brings to the table
I’ll be running the game on Roll20, where I’ll provide all the material you need for the campaign—maps, tokens, and handouts that will be shown throughout the game. You can also expect ambient music to set the mood, and I’ll be doing my best to bring the NPCs to life with voices! Combat will definitely be challenging at times, but with some quick thinking and clever tactics, there’s always a way to overcome the odds! Outside of combat, I embrace the Rule of Cool, but in combat, I stick to Rules as Written as closely as possible. Expect plenty of immersion and opportunities for your character to shine, especially if you share some backstory or details with me beforehand! And of course, expect a bit of light chaos to keep things exciting. May the dice roll in your favor!
