Avatar Legends: Balance of the Elements (Learn to Play One Shot)
Avatar Legends: The RPG | One-Shot
About the adventure
Come learn to play the Avatar TTRPG and take part in one of two one-shot adventures set in either the Korra or Aang eras! "Pirates of the Crimson Sails" Crimson Sails is an island filled with pirates, no-good scoundrels, and more than a few outlaws. It’s a place that sends most law-abiding citizens running…and exactly where Fire Lord Zuko sends the heroes on a mission of utmost importance! The pirates—who were mostly quiet during the Hundred Year War—are suddenly attacking Fire Nation vessels! In fact, they’ve stolen money and critical supplies the Fire Lord promised to the Earth Kingdom; the precious cargo must be returned before it starts an international incident. Left with few options, Zuko enlists the heroes to help retrieve the stolen goods! Only the companions, fresh faces who won’t be recognized by the pirates, can slip past their defenses, infiltrate their close-knit society, and recover the money and supplies in time! "The Burning Fuse" In the wake of the Earth Empire’s thwarted siege, Republic City is struggling to rebuild and heal the scars of war. The inventor Juniper Kim once worked for the Earth Empire, but now she develops peacetime uses for Earth Empire weaponry and tech. Early yesterday morning, Juniper discovered the spirit energy canisters and weapons were missing from her lab. In the wrong hands, the canisters and weapons can be deadly, and to make matters worse, many of the canisters have the potential to cause a devastating explosion! Juniper called her friend Asami Sato to help deal with the press flooding the scene and to prevent a mass panic from gripping the city, but the police are stretched thin looking for the missing weapons, so she needs the help of some discreet allies to locate the canisters. Can the companions recover the canisters before Republic City’s fresh wounds open once more?

How to prepare
You will need to have/bring/be: -A Microphone and Discord Downloaded -A Free Roll20 Account -A Webcam (If you would like to use video, but this isn't required) -Ready to learn a new Tabletop System! -A Positive Attitude and a BIG Smile :D
What I provide
As your GM, I bring a variety of tools to each of my games. Aside from the typical stuff (Roll20 and Discord ), I also really enjoy bringing NPCs to life with different personalities and voices, as well as a constant ambient backtrack to make you really feel immersed in the world. When it comes to rulings, I like to read the table. If the table wants a hardcore RAW experience then we will stick to the rules as they were written, but if the table is looking to kick back and have fun then I'm totally here for it! Rules are only as fun as we at the table make them. When running a table that is aimed to teaching people rules of a new system, We will play the first combat out in session as a form of tutorial, assisting each player in how to play the game so at the end of session people have a general sense of the rules, however don't worry if you forget stuff or come in with no prior knowledge, I'm always here to assist you and make sure you're having a good time. Lastly, when you're playing at my table, pack extra smiles and be prepared to HAVE FUN!
Gameplay details
When it comes to player safety and comfort nothing is more important, which is why during every session zero I make sure to ask my players about their limits by doing a quick check in about each players triggers and Xs or Ns, letting them know any content warnings that may be present in the adventure and informing them about my open door, break and debrief policies. Players are also welcome at any time to either take breather or a break from the game, and at no point will they ever be asked to go into detail about ANYTHING they may not be comfortable with. Also, while the game is going on, if at any point a player needs content to stop immediately, they may hold up an X/N or type one in chat. This will allow me to make the necessary moves needed to make sure everyone continues to have a great time playing! Lastly, I am a huge believer in debriefing/aftercare. At the end of each session I will always hang around for anywhere between 15-30 minutes to chat about the session, give out our stars and clouds and to just generally hang out with anyone who wants to stick around! This is great for sessions where we may get into some heavier content so we can either discuss it or unpack it if need be! Remember, your comfort and your fun come first!
