Played a handful of games with Squirrel so far, the man is absolutely on point with his world building, character voices and personality, making every session as fun as possible whether they be simple setups, more roleplaying or combat focused and always has a great spin on well versed modules that make them feel fresh and exciting no matter how many times you may have gone through them before. He's also a great GM for players new and experienced, always making everyone feel welcome and safe. From the longer campaigns to the one shots, he's an absolute gem and I absolutely 100% recommend him to anyone on here who is struggling to find a GM because you will definetly not regret playing with him.

Great GM, provides a nice, welcoming environment. I've only played DND In person with longtime friends before so was super anxious coming into playing but those anxieties quickly dispersed. It was all to easy to get lost in their storytelling and engaging, descriptive combat

Squirrel is great about crafting unique characters with original mannerisms and voices. Very immersive settings and creative descriptions in and out of combat. They also host an excellent community, so their games are very inclusive and feel good to be a part of.

As a player in one of Squirrel’s Descent into Avernus Games and many of their various one-shots, I just need to finally sit down and write this overdue review of their GM-ing. Squirrel is one of the best GM’s I’ve ever had in my now 6 ish years of tabletop gaming. I’ve been both GM and player for those years so I feel qualified enough to praise their work from both angles. As a player, I love how Squirrel is patient with those that have less experience in the game, willing to explain or wait to let other players explain confusing concepts to a confused player. They have a good grasp on the rules of DND5e, and when mechanical edge cases come up, they are very good at making fair rulings that keep the game flowing well, and revising said rulings for longer term play. As a GM, I am very impressed with their ability to pace a session very cleanly. Almost none of our sessions have run more than a few minutes long, and we always have a well timed break that doesn’t disrupt the flow of the game. In addition to all that, their ability to create atmosphere is incredible. Squirrel has a well stocked soundboard of special effects that enhance the narrations that they give, and they have music playing that is updated to match the mood of the game. Not only that, the music is optional to listen to, as the Bot they use to play it can be volume controlled for each individual player, so those that find it distracting can choose to simply use Squirrel’s immersive descriptions to visualize the game world. I know this review is long overdue, but I would hate to lose the opportunity to let anyone who is interested in Squirrel’s games know that you will 100% get your money’s worth if you book with them.

Currently I am in 3 of their games. Every week, there are nice twists and turns, they are always finding new ways to improve, and most importantly they are always available to talk with. Very communicative. Would highly recommend to anyone who's new or a veteran player.

Decided to play with Squirrel after they posted their start for Strixhaven. My spouse and I really like DnD for the story telling and RP of it all, so we gave them a shot. I was blown away from session zero with this DM. They helped me create a character for the world, included other players to help them get the spotlight, and their acting is really amazing to boot. Honestly, if I could select more than three tags for Squirrel I would! Rule of Cool, Good for beginners, Knows the Rules should be a part of what I describe on top of the Story Teller, Creativity, and inclusion tags. Trust me when I say that they are 100% one of the best DMs that I can possibly think of. Their community on discord is so wholesome too. Stop wasting time reading my review and just join a game with them already.
