About the adventure
🕯️ Darkness Rises in the Weeping Lands… With the Doge recently assassinated, the Serene Republic of Kharenzia teeters on the brink of chaos. The culprits fled unscathed, leaving a trail of noble blood behind them. Now, in the power vacuum, nightmarish forces stir—including an Elder Vampire seeking revenge after mortal adventurers wiped out an entire bloodline of his kind. As darkness and fear spread across the countryside, a lone vessel from the war-torn Kingdom of Previa arrives in the mist-choked swamps that surround Kharenzia. Onboard? A handful of desperate or daring souls—strangers to the land and perhaps to each other. Will they survive the rising tide of shadows… or become another footnote in Kharenzia’s bloody history? 🌍 Welcome to the Weeping Lands! A fully homebrewed setting inspired by real-world history and dark fantasy manga (especially Berserk), the Weeping Lands offer a grim and mature high fantasy experience. Expect heroic feats, ancient ruins, monsters, moral dilemmas, drama—and a touch of humor to cut the tension. 1) Level 10 start 2) Characters are part of a ship’s crew, fleeing Previa for their own personal reasons 3)Whether they know each other is up to the players 4)Exploration, story, and choice-driven gameplay are key 🎠A Living, Breathing World This is designed as an open-world sandbox with minimal railroading—outside the shared starting point, the story is yours to shape. Player decisions have consequences, and every action echoes in the world around you.

About me
Hi, I am Angel, a chemical engineering undergraduate who recently started using DMing as a part time job. I have been a very active D&D since 2018, participating in multiple campaigns as a player. Since 2020 I am also a DM running face to face campaigns in my local area. During the pandemic is was introduced to Roll20 as an alternative option for playing my favorite game. Role-playing is one of my greatest passions which has led me to join the LARP community and take part in its events as a more interactive D&D like activity. My main hyper fixation is world history, a large influence of my story building, especially for political intrigue oriented campaigns. Other interests of mine are drawing, reading, writing and daydreaming in general :) I cant wait to hear the character concepts you have in mind and create with you dream like stories and adventures!

Creating your character
Starting character level is 10. Races and classes are open to conversation. They will be created at session 0 and i will provide help when needed. Stats will be rolled as 4d6, reroll 1s, drop lowest. If the outcome is too bad you can use the default stats. 2014 or 2024 rules to be decided alongside players.
Please message me for suggestions and questions!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Knowing the rules beforehand is good but not essential. Same goes the webcam. A mic however is the main way of communication during the session and i am not sure if RPing with only messages can be doable. Dice rolls will be online just like the characters. Using the Roll20 app as a character sheet is recommended as i find it very useful, at least when i am a player.
What Angel brings to the table
I have my own set of dice which will be used for some occasional secret rolls but most of them will be open. There will be an option for a team illustration in detail as a good friend of mind who is a graphic artist will be offering a discount if such a commission is dispatched <3. I will be making maps and portraits as part of the campaign and if you wish i can try and make some character portraits for free.

🕒 Session Format Each session lasts around 2.5 hours, with an additional 30 minutes as a buffer for things like finishing scenes, waiting for late players, or taking short breaks. Games will start 10 minutes after the scheduled time if most players have arrived. Every session begins with a recap of the previous events to help everyone stay on track. 🎲 Session Zero Details In Session Zero, we’ll go over character concepts, roll stats, and align expectations. Backgrounds and any secret character information will be handled privately via DM. I’m open to homebrew and creative character ideas—bring your weird and wonderful concepts! 🗣️ Player Communication & Feedback I encourage out-of-game DM-player interaction. Don’t hesitate to reach out! If there’s something you’d like changed or improved in the campaign, let me know. Feedback helps make the game better for everyone. 🌍 Campaign Style This is a mostly homebrew campaign, though I occasionally use maps or assets from other adventures. I create custom maps with Inkarnate and hand-drawn tools and continuously develop world lore. Rules matter, but good roleplay and storytelling always come first. You only need to know your character’s mechanics and the basics. I’ll make sure that balance is maintained, especially with spells or unique abilities. A creative, well-played character will always shine more than a min/maxed one. 🧰 Tools Used Roll20: Character sheets, battle maps, dice rolls, etc. (DnD Beyond integration if the players want to use their sheet from there). Discord: Voice, music, optional video, and between-session chatting (and memes—many, many memes). Microphone is required, camera is entirely optional. Feel free to switch it on or off as you like.
