Danger in the Dripping Place | A D&D 2024 Space Opera One-Shot
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | One-Shot
About the adventure
Twelve years ago the Shoth landed on Primordia. The Shoth are a sentient race of oozing humanoids originating deep in the astral plane's darkest corner. Originally the Shoth posed no clear threat to the civilizations of Primordia. They began to collect a cult-like following, promising their members everlasting life by being assimilated into the Shoth society and becoming one themselves. Upon assimilation, their life experiences, wisdom, and skills are all uploaded into the zom, a communication device similar to a hivemind. Assimilation appears to be painless, a willing person steps into a pool of glowing pink ooze, known as a zolv, they emerge a minute later as a low-status Shoth called a sooze. Only after serving their god and namesake, The Shoth, for many years will one be allowed to obtain a higher rank in the Shoth society. The Shoth have stepped up recruitment lately and have chosen more aggressive tactics to gain more followers. They moved on to kidnapping, bribery, and blackmail to receive willing converts. Recently the Shoth have turned to violence overthrowing the city of Tubridge, holding its people hostage until a certain number of humanoids "volunteer" for assimilation. Over the years great minds have studied the Shoth looking for a way to stop them. Now is the time to use this information as one of the few people on Primordia who own and can successfully use a spelljamming helm you have been asked to take out the source of the Shoth on Primordia. You must travel deep into the astral plane aboard your ship and infiltrate their stronghold known as the Dripping Place. Rumor has it an avatar of the God Shoth resides there. Can you use your skills as an adventurer to stop the Shoth reign on Primordia? Join us to find out!
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

How to prepare
I will send you a link to the discord where the Roll20 link and all other important links are posted. There you can ask any questions you may have about the setting or character creation. We will be using Roll20 for maps and Discord for the audio and (optional) video.
What I provide
You will be able to access the D&D 2024 rules and character options via my campaign on D&D Beyond. We will be using Roll20 as our VTT (virtual tabletop) and Disord for communication before, during, and after the game. The Beyond 20 extension will also be necessary to import rolls from D&D Beyond to Roll20. I do not claim to be a voice actor but I will try to give one of three voices to any NPCs or monsters you may come across. We will also be using a Discord bot for music during the session. I consider myself to be a rule of cool GM. So if you have something wild you want to try let me know and we can try to make it happen.
