About the adventure
🛡️ We begin with Rostlar's Coffer. Once a quiet village, now a haunted husk, defiled by the Whispering Tyrant. It will be retaken! From there, we push forward! Greetings and salutations! I have been playing TTRPGs for over 20 years, starting with AD&D and have been a DM for over 5 years. Character story and Immersion is one of the most important things to me. My main strength as a DM is setting the right atmosphere to make you feel truly heroic by weaving backstory, roleplaying, and combat into those epic, unforgettable moments. Creating your character
We will talk in a 1-1 quick chat to get your general idea. You can create your character mechanically. Then in Session Zero we are going to discuss player backgrounds as a group and connect backstories. Feel free to talk to me in Discord anytime before the game.
The team is now level 11: - Champion of Sarenrae, with Grandeur and Sun Domain focus spells. Looking to restore his hometown of Roslar's Coffer and the whole of Lastwall. - A Wizard from Mendev, looking for a new challenge after the Worldwound was closed. Tar-Baphon sounds like a doable long-term goal... right? - Nobleman warrior from Restov. Looking to add honor and glory to his noble House, through Holy deeds. - And who might you be, newcomer?
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - a computer with a modern browser. - a Forge-VTT free player's account here: https://forge-vtt.com/account/signup - a Discord account and a good microphone. Cameras are optional. I will send the invites shortly before the game.
What Ekscom brings to the table
We will play in FoundryVTT (hosted in Forge), and Discord. I use maps that I make myself to fit your decisions. Art, music and effects enhance the gameplay. I encourage heroic actions, creativity in combat, and roleplaying. The rules are there to balance the game, not to stifle player creativity. I use the Rule of Cool where it makes logical or common sense. While I wouldn't bend the universe, if you can convince me that an action is possible, it's done. Player backgrounds will have an impact eventually, definitely! Player decisions will change the story and locations you visit. I build the world as you go.
