Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
🔥 War drums thunder, and dragons take flight! 🐉⚔️ In the war-torn world of Krynn, the gods have returned, and the balance of power shifts as dark forces rise. Will you take up the Dragonlance and stand against the tyranny of Takhisis, the Dragon Queen? 🏹⚡ Ride into battle as a noble Knight of Solamnia, a mysterious Mage of High Sorcery, or a fearless hero caught in the tides of destiny. 🌙✨ The fate of Krynn is in your hands—forge legends, defy fate, and embrace the call of adventure! 🏰🔥 --------------------------------------------------------- This is a play-by-post campaign to be held asynchronously over Discord. The main strength of this style of play is that players can contribute whenever they have the time, making it perfect for those with busy schedules or living in different time zones. Each player adds to the story at their own pace, giving themselves time to think about their character's actions and reactions. As your Dungeon Master, I will commit to posting at least three times per day, 6 days a week; and encourage you as a player to post at least once or twice per day.
Game style
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

I really enjoyed my time with Slosh! He really embraces the versatility of Discord to make his Strixhaven PBP game come to life, and he took the time to let the players lead, and encouraged them to do so. It was possible to lose the thread at times, but Slosh is usually there to pick things up again and keep the story going.
Slosh is such an amazing DM, and the years of games I played with him were some of my favorites in all of my time playing RPGs. He is an amazing writer who puts thought in to most everything he touches, and it really shows in his campaigns. He not only makes engaging arcs of stories, but also sets up stories down the line in subtle and interesting ways. Finally, he loves including backstories into the campaign as a whole, which just adds another layer of interest into his stories.
So if I had to give a "what to expect" I would say this: The energy you put into your character and your playing will always be rewarded in more ways than you could imagine. That goes for loot, but also story moments, rp that will tug at all of your emotions and descriptions of settings, actions and all consequences of said actions. It may not be the first game, it may not be the second, but as he gets to know you as a player and your character things will start happening, some blatant and some more hidden and easter-eggy, and he will tell you a story that sticks with you. He is fair and always goes rule of cool to as much as he can and keep balance and fun for everyone. If you're willing to maybe deal with nerfs to things that sounded cool but got busted so you can still have the best of your wants and the game can run smoothly for all, and basically just are willing to have patience and openness, you'll have the best time trying all the crazy ideas you come up with with him! And the patience is more for story, as he does like telling sagas and having your character feel like the growth matches the time spent on them. He like to let a story build, have crescendos and decrescendos, and have you feeling tied to a character so much it will be hard to let them go. But even then, you'll have mentions of your character, you will see the marks you leave on the world good or bad, and he will always do his best to make sure you have some plot threads to pull on if you need a break from the main story. As for a moment myself that I had stick with me thanks to him, I could name many. If I right a book of my dnd adventures, he would be the reason it turns into a series as he would need a book or two to himself. He is the reason I stuck with dnd and ttrpgs as a whole even through my lowest points. The memories this man has given me as a friend and as a dm, I couldn't repay him for. My quickest story would have to be what got me away from being scared to quest after being questlocked by another dm that just left(westmarch style kinda game, not really but that sorta kinda vibe. More just sandbox style world). I had a little gnome named Grappa Hubbold. He was a shadow monk. I was new to dnd besides a short lived campaign and a couple one shots, so, I built him a little poorly. He noticed and I fixed some problems to make him more useful as a monk but kept him high charisma as he was a friendly little gnome fresh outta seclusion. After sticking himself in a tavern for months, just talking to the bartender, who Slosh adamantly said was just going to stay a bartender npc, looked at Grappa after many days of getting to know the gnome. He said "Hey, are you free for an adventure? I want to visit my homeland." That was all it took. It turned from a little story adventure to a multi-year long story line with magic wish stones he homebrewed that had 15+ people over the course of the sagas be involved and even more characters. It shaped major world changes and events, it was something everyone in the server knew about and praised whenever it showed up out of nowhere again in a story line. The dice may have hated me and my gnome but my luck that was just good enough to keep me alive(with help a lot of the time) kept me able to finish the tales that this amazing dm spun for me. And even when it ran out, he gave a story when he was brought back that was so impactful. That through everything, Grappa went from just seeing that bartender as a father figure as he never had an actual family of his own, being an orphan, to taking that mans family name on and being adopted and resurrected as an astral monk, with his late father still being by his side in spirit. If you love story heavy ttrpgs, please, give Slosh a try.
