About the adventure

Obojima is a adventure published by 1985 games and available on D&D Beyond. Gaining inspiration from Studio Ghibli and Legend of Zelda, this campaign will take you tothe island of Obojima. A land where humans and spirits have learned to live together in beautifully detailed locations that feel like they were pulled straight from beloved classic anime films. Mysteries abound on the island! 80’s technology like vending machines, keytars, and kei trucks are found throughout the land, mysteriously left behind from the First Age. Spirits, fish folk, and bizarre creatures can be found everywhere, each with their own unique agenda. The biggest mystery, known as the Corruption, has started to spread across Obojima changing everything it touches into twisted abominations. Be a teenager in a Ghibli world and create your own backstory and background as you discover more about the island and yourself.

About me

I was very fortunate to have very good DMs introduce me to DND 5e. My one shots aim to introduce DND to newer/inexperienced players in a fun/no strings attached setting. At the same time I'd like for players to try new classes and races in the same setting.

Character creation

Creating your character

Level 2 Standard Array 5e 2014 rules A character creation pdf will be provided upon acceptance. Allowable races include all races from the 2014 players hand book,The Vulpin and Tanukin races from Hit Point Press, and races from the Obojima Setting. Spells at level 2 should only be chosen from the PHB 2014 and the Obojima Setting, however at level 3 that will be expanded to include Tasha's, Xanathars, Humblewood as well as the ones found in the Obojima Content Pack No backgrounds for initial character creation,as all characters will be in teenage years and as the campaign progresses the actions you take as a player will determine what your background is. Like all Ghibli films this is a coming of age story.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A microphone will be needed as well as a roll20 account. A dnd beyond account is acceptable as well. I will help with character creation as all of the Obojima content needs to be manually entered. All experience levels welcome as this is a story/role play focused campaign. Thank you for reading!
