About the adventure

'Bear me away into black depths, Trawler-man; I will forget my pain and the name I once wore. Rise like a dark river in my throat, Trawler-man. And my drowning lungs will sing of Tides and Flesh.' --The Silt Verses, First Chapter In The Silt Verses, you play Custodians, employees of the Bureau for the Investigation and Assimilation of Stray Deities. In a world with tens of thousands of gods, your job is to track down the forgotten and stray deities causing trouble in the community and... deal with them. Sometimes that means figuring out how a community can co-exist with the god, and sometimes that means eliminating the god's threat in a more extreme way. Regardless, you are a pawn within an uncaring system, and will eventually be the target of a conspiracy that will try to use your work for its own nefarious purposes. Using The Silt Verses RPG powered by the Carved from Brindlewood system.

About me

I am a queer, nonbinary writer, designer, streamer whose been working in the industry for five slutty, slutty years. I am the founder and creative director of Carrion Comfort, which produces creative, kind, and ultimately weird Tabletop games, content, and streams that punch up, not down. My passion for labor rights, indie developers, LGBTQ+ issues, and my Appalachian roots shine throughout the stories I wants to see in the industry and beyond. Outside of streaming and TTRPGs, I love wrestling, logic puzzles, mythology, culinary art, and my pets, Jigsaw & Rustin.

Safety

How Wes Franks creates a safe table

First of, ALL players will fill out a Consent Checklist. It is anonymous (except for things that need to be discussed) and will let me know the baseline for what is permitted in play. No one else but me will see this checklist and the information will be presented without judgement to make sure all players feel comfortable. If the lines and veils ever change then please let me know. + I use the X Card in play. At any point during play, if you feel uncomfortable and need to stop then please drop an X in the discord chat and we can pause, discuss and either continue or wrap-up. There will be no question of the use of this except for insight to what was made uncomfortable and if a discussion needs to occur. + I also run games with an open door policy. At any point if you feel the need please step away and just reach out when you can to let us know you are okay. The benefit of home games means that we can pause, rewind, or do whatever we need and the game isn't at risk, though the safety and comfort of all players trumps the game.
