Creating your character

Characters will start at level 1 and be created on Foundry using a normal DnD character sheet. Come with multiple character ideas in mind if possible, but I'm happy to fit your idea in and make whatever you want work! I have a world full of rich lore, that includes Homebrewed Races and Subclasses. This information will be available in the discord, but we'll go over it during character creation as well. I have races from Free-Willed Undead, Cursed massive rabbit-like beings, Golden Elves and Blood Magic corrupted Crimson Elves. I also have subclasses that fit these races specifically (but can be used by all), from scarred and flagellant barbarians, to clerics who worship time itself. None of this is required, but always available if you should desire! If you aren't sure at all on what you want to play, let me know and I can help! Sometimes it's best to come with a blank slate!

Preparing for the session

Ideally you will have: -Something to take notes on (if you don't want to use Foundry for a journal) -A decent Microphone (Webcams are not required but are an option) -A Discord account Not Required but acceptable things are: -A physical character sheet (As long as I've seen and approved it) -A physical set of dice instead of Foundry (Though if you roll 4 crits in a row I may ask questions...) If anything else is required, we'll discuss it together!

What Ryan "Rybonator" Brainard brings to the table

Players will have access to digital maps and handouts/custom content whenever it is relevant to the plot via Foundry or Discord. Additionally they will have access to a note-taking journal on Foundry to keep track of their sessions and store any information they feel is pertinent to them. I will try and make any modifications requested to things like character tokens using art you have or I can get for you so that you feels as immersed as possible. We'll use Foundry for combat and dice rolling, but some small combats may be theatre of the mind depending on the overall consequence level of the encounter. I'm going to do silly and intense voices. Get involved at your own comfort level, but my goals is to make you feel like you are a part of my/OUR world.

How Ryan "Rybonator" Brainard creates a safe table

Safety tools will be provided on Foundry during the game to make sure everyone is comfortable pausing, stopping or moving forward during potentially stressful/triggering moments. Additionally, session 0 will involve a survey about personal info, player basics (intro information like how best to communicate with you in game), a link to the campaign Discord so that you can give comments on the game as well as indicate what you want to see more/less of. I will largely not have a list of potentially triggering content for each game, but we will have an open and detailed discussion at session 0 about what we are comfortable with as a party. And I am ALWAYS available via discord if you have anything else you want to bring up. Safety is #1. Session 0 is where we will also discuss how comfortable we are with violence and what that means at our table. I like the be as descriptive in the world/combat as players are comfortable with. Session 0 is also where we will create our characters and character sheets. This way everyone can collectively find what they want to play, and we make sure nobody is stepping on anyone else's toes! We're gonna be a team, so let's build like one! That being said, if we want to run all clerics and be the 'A-Men!', let's freaking go! I will provide location and setting information to help you build your backstories and make you feel like you really are a part of the world!
