About the adventure
Fancy yourself a Dungeons & Dragons Player? Looking for a place to learn the ropes of the game, in a friendly, inclusive environment? Looking for a Dungeon Master who has experience bring new people into the game? Or perhaps you're a more experienced player looking to return to something simple while helping new people get into roleplay? Well, welcome to the right place! Originally titled "Lost Mines Of Phandelver", this campaign was created by Dungeons & Dragons specifically with new players in mind. It offers a simple yet intriguing adventure, with places to explore, mysteries to uncover, and gradually raises in complexity as the story progresses, which allows new players to learn the basics of the game without feeling crushed by the intimidating ruleset. This adventure was also recently expanded to run into higher levels, which is great for allowing you to fully explore any characters you create, without feeling like you have to abandon them just when the story gets good! While I adapt the gameplay to fit the group, really tailoring the experience to those involved, there are a few things that never change: - My games are inclusive to everyone. I don't tolerate any bigotry, or any 'isms and discrimination in my groups, and I welcome anyone of any background. As an LGBTQIA+ individual myself, it's important that everyone feels accepted and safe. - My games are open to people who want to collaborate. The world of D&D above all else, is about a party! I'm looking for people eager to make friends, and build a wonderful story together!
While its enough to say that my games are welcome to everyone, I want to affirm this is a safe place for LGBTQIA+ people, women, people of colour, neurodivergent folks, and anyone else who may be worried they aren't welcome. As a trans woman, I'm committed to ensuring the only people who aren't welcome at my table are bigots.

There simply is not enough tags to describe how good Alhena is as a DM, she's inclusive to all individuals no matter their background, understands the rules and takes time learning new rulesets as much as she can, but also isn't afraid to steer away from the rules when she thinks it benefits the story and players, not to mention she is great at storytelling both visually, vocally and musically. If you get an opportunity to get into one of her campaigns, grab it as if your very life depends on it!

AStarInGemini has been such a delightful DM who goes above and beyond to tell such a compelling story where the players choices are pivotal, combat is engaging while fair, and creative solutions are always welcome! She knows her campaigns in and out and just how to create a scene with characters that have you invested! Being a newer to DnD myself, she has been incredible and patient in her explanations and ensures that everyone at the table is comfortable. I couldn't recommend her enough!

What I provide
I bring with me an array of Dungeons and Dragons content on D&D Beyond. This site is a free to use character creation site, and as long as I own the books, you have access to them too due to my subscription! This way, you can explore lots more options and really make a character that fits with you. Additionally, as I have a subscription to the Roll20 VTT, I can use fancier maps and ambient music for the games. Oftentimes, I make my own NPC art to allow players to better visualise the characters they meet, and tend to create my virtual maps too. I'll also be gradually using my own music too, as I am a music producer, and am doing my Masters University Project on music for TTRPGs. I also manage an organised discord servers, which we will be used for voice, and to just generally have a space to chat and share things between sessions. While I tend to stick to most of the D&D rules, I'm often times a 'rule-of-cool' DM, meaning that I bend the rules sometimes to allow you to pull off your crazy ideas that are fun for everyone!
Gameplay details
I use my Session 0s (A meeting to discuss the game held before the start of the campaign) to help players establish the themes, allow people to meet and interact before jumping into the game, to and go over the expectations and wishes of everyone for the future games, as well as to help with character creation. I usually follow up with players privately after this to help fully flesh out characters, getting them game ready! I send checklists to each of my players before the first session, to talk about potential triggers, and establish lines and veils. I tend to follow up on these to ensure any covered themes are mentioned with care. These checklists are confidential, and other players cannot see them! The VTT I use (Virtual Table Top) has built in features to use X, N and O cards. These are used to indicate when content may need to be skipped if anyone becomes uncomfortable. I also will have private channels on a discord server if ever anyone needs to message mid-session. Finally, I always put a minimum of one break into each of my sessions, but the frequency of breaks will be tailored to the needs of the players!

How will character creation work
I love to discuss character creation during session 0, so that everyone has a general idea as to what other players are interested in playing and such. I often begin character creation in the session 0,using D&D Beyond, offering an easy to understand step-by-step character creation method I then follow up with players privately to talk in more detail about characters, their backgrounds and motivations, to better integrate them into the story!
