About the adventure

It’s always raining in Sharn. Most of the time it’s water, the drizzle weaving through the labyrinth of towers, a gentle mist that settles over the city like a cloak. But in the City of Towers, rain can mean so much more. It might rain money in the upper reaches, coins slipping from careless fingers as the wealthy drink and gamble above the clouds. Or arrows, loosed in street battles fought between gangs and guilds in the shadowed depths of the lower wards. It could rain blood, pooling in gutters where ambition collides with desperation. And if you’re not careful—if you take one wrong step on a precarious bridge or trust the wrong person in the wrong place—one day, the rain will be you.

About me

My name is Iosu. I am spanish, I am 35 and I enjoy weaving a story together, which is why I prefer running a campaign of my own rather than an established scenario.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session zero to define how every character is and how they should fit into the party. I would like to find a way to make every character at least know one of the others in the team, to better integrate them. Nothing is set in stone , though. I'll let you respec your character if you don't like them, maybe with some in-game quest if the respec is too big (e.g. entire class change).

The current party

In-game, they are a group formed around a theater, to find ways to improve and protect their community. Mechanically, they are all level 6: - a human gun-ko master guslinger - a shifter battlemaster fighter - a warforged gloom stalker ranger As for party composition, they would mostly be in need of a charisma and/or intelligence high character.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will use discord for voice, no video. You will need to login into foundry. We'll have a session zero to prepare everything.

What Iosu brings to the table

I will bring maps, tokens and most published content, including a good bunch of homebrew. If you want to make your own tokens with some pictures, we can easily do that as well.

Homebrew rules

All rolls are open, except death saves. Critical hits deal maximum damage for one of the rolls. Drinking a potion is a bonus action to roll, or an action to get max healing. Monks get a d10 hit die and a bonus to ki points equal to WIS modifier (minimum of 0).

Safety

How Iosu creates a safe table

I always try to implement some way to have the players tell me if they are uncomfortable with anything, but I’m going to be honest here, it has never come up before, so I’m not sure what is the best way to go about it. The best I can think of is, if anything within the game is making you uncomfortable, or there are things that you wouldn’t like to see in the story, you can message me. I usually tell somewhat tame stories, but I might touch on uncomfortable topics such as racism or slavery.
