About the adventure

A crime has rocked Ankh-Morpork and its citizens are.... well they're carrying on with their lives as usual, not much stops commerce in the Big Wahoonie; certainly not a simple break-in. No one's even dead... yet. Nevertheless the City Watch frowns on Unlicensed Crime* and as Watchmen it is your job to investigate. The Sunshine Dragon Sanctuary has been burgled and dragons are missing. Dragons going missing has never boded well to Commander Vimes, not least because it upsets Lady Sybil. As such he's assigned YOU, the City Watch's finest recruits to the case. This one-shot is intended to introduce beginners to the new Discworld game system. Familiarity with at least one Discworld novel is preferred but not essential. The mystery will take you through the winding and uneven streets of Ankh-Morpork, jewel of the Sto Plains. You'll see both new and familiar faces along the way and experience the sights, sounds, and smells** of the Disc's most notori- er famous city. *These days. **Sorry about the smells

About me

I'm an experienced GM who's been telling stories since 1995; and telling them in the form of TTRPGs since 2010. I always wanted to write for a living and I kept hearing about D&D; these mythical games where the goal was slaying monsters, saving the world and above all weaving a legendary tale with friends, but it took me over a decade to find an actual table to join. When I heard about Startplaying I couldn't wait to sign up and make these games that I love accessible to everyone that wants to play. If you (like I once was) are a beginner who's always wanted to play but never had a table to join; or if you're an old hat who can't squeeze enough games in (like I am now), there's a place for you at my table.

What Aidan's Adventures brings to the table

I have a decade of experience as a GM and over 2 decades of experience as a Discworld fan. I know the streets of Ankh-Morpork nearly as well as Commander Vimes and have the greatest of respect for the setting; and having read through the new game system, so do the good people at Modiphius. The system captures the spirit of the Disc in the best way and I'm so excited to share it with you. I'll be running the game over voice chat on Discord using mostly theatre of the mind with occasional custom artwork and Dice rolls.

Safety

How Aidan's Adventures creates a safe table

I take player safety extremely seriously at my table. While Discworld is a silly place, some dark themes can pop up and I want everyone who plays with me to feel comfortable saying if a topic, or in-game event is triggering and they need to step away. If you don't feel comfortable saying it out loud to the group you can DM me on Discord and I will call a break. I will go over this again with the group when we go over the rules.
