About the adventure

"Go to Hell. An everyday expression. So trivial it's almost meaningless. But we've seen Hell. It's real. And it isn't trvial. Devils, Dragons, Mindflayers -they used to be abstracts. Pictures on a piece of paper. What a difference a day makes." - Gale (Baldur's Gate 3) Become a Helljumper and drop down below the material plain into the Nine Layers of Hell!

About me

Heyoo! I'm Stephen (he/him pronounced Steven, but spelled with a PH (I don't get it either!) I’m a Professional Dungeon Master with experience guiding dozens of players, ranging from brand-new adventurers to seasoned veterans who’ve remember the days of the Satanic Panic! I hope to take you through unforgettable campaigns, spine-chilling dungeon crawls, and wildly hilarious, rule-bending Adventures! I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since my senior year of high school in 2015, when members of the disbanded D&D club joined the Yugioh club I was running I had turned my club into a Table Top games club and became the Dungeon Master for those players! Since then, I have watched and learn about many other DMs and their styles from Brennan Lee Mulligan, Matt Mercer, Aabria Iyengar, Chris Perkins, and Jeremy Crawford. Combining their styles with how I like to run campaigns as led me to a genuine love for storytelling, world building, and collaborative game play. Putting Player Agency first and utmost in the drivers seat!

What Stephen brings to the table

As a DM I bring over many books from DnDBeyond and share with my Master Tier subscription access to all my books allowing players easy access to the plethora of customization options!. I also run my own Foundry Server Online so players can play a virtual tabletop! Last but certainly not least is my desire to work with players on home brewing and creating a story focused on the characters themselves on their journey!

Safety

How Stephen creates a safe table

Safety Tools Lines & Veils Lines & Veils are used to set boundaries on content in a game. Lines are hard limits on content, things that the GM or the players don’t want to engage in. Setting up a line means that content won’t show up in the game at all. Veils are soft limits, things that are ok “behind a curtain” or when they are “cut-to-black.” Setting up a veil means that the content might be in the game but not spotlighted or described in great detail. Lines and veils can be adjusted as needed throughout the game. Invitations are things you are interested in or okay with having happen on screen during the game. You may also at any time move a veil to a line or an invitation to a veil (or up to a line) - NEVER move a line back to a veil! A line may only be moved to a veil with the full consent of all players. Open Door The Open Door is the assurance that someone can leave or take a break from the game for their own safety and well-being without being judged. Whether you need to go to the bathroom, stretch your legs, or remove yourself from an upsetting scene, you are welcome to do so. Please just let the rest of us know that you are stepping away from the table. X-Card The X-Card is a player’s right to privately message the DM and ask for a break whenever they want at any point of the game. If the session gets to real or heavy always feel free
