About the adventure
In a small coastal town, where many grand adventures have already begun, you play as local adventurers, heroes in the making. You have begun making names for yourselves among the locals, and have worked to keep your home safe and secure. However, now it appears there is danger lurking not merely outside the town... but also underneath it. You must delve into the darkness, face horrors unknown, and ensure that none of those who dwell beneath becomes a threat to Sandpoint. In this game, you will start at 4th level, and your characters will all know one another from past adventures (to be hashed out in part during session 0). This is a dungeon crawling adventure that will take you from level 4 to 12, and see you regularly delve into a vast dungeon beneath your small town, only to emerge to rest, recover, sell hard-earned loot, and buy epic gear. I intend to continue the adventure with Revenge of the Runelords once that adventure path releases, making this a level 4-20 campaign that will end up eventually using mythic rules! As a GM, I am experienced at running Pathfinder 2e, know the system well, and like to encourage outside the box thinking from my players, rewarding creativity. I'm a teacher by day, so I'd be happy to help teach you the system, but experienced players are certainly welcome to join as well - I want my games to be an inclusive zone where everyone can be accepted and take part in our grand adventures.

About me
I've been playing RPGs regularly for about twenty years, most of the time being the GM of my group, in a variety of systems and genres. My personal favorites tend to be sci-fi, horror, and dark fantasy settings, but I love trying new RPGs and settings. I'm a teacher by profession, and love introducing games to new players, making sure they have a good experience with them. I've ran many campaigns online, primarily D&D 5e and Pathfinder 1e and 2e, both pre-written campaigns and homebrew adventures. At GenCon 2025, I ran a table in the largest-ever game of Mothership, hosted by the Panic Table, and received great feedback from my players at the end of the event. I've completed several 5e adventures, some for multiple groups, including Lost Mine of Phandelver, Storm King's Thunder, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Curse of Strahd and Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden. I enjoy taking these pre-made adventures and campaigns, adapting them to my players and their interests. I want everyone to feel safe, included, and respected in my games. To ensure that happens, I make a rule to always start with a good session zero to set expectations and establish boundaries. I want to keep my games and servers free from talk of real-world politics and religion, and any hateful speech will not be tolerated.

Creating your character
Character creation will use standard Pathfinder 2e rules, and we will use the Remastered versions of classes/feats/spells/etc where applicable. I will set aside time in session 0 for character creation, but if you want to, you certainly can work on it ahead of the game - if everyone has their character sheet ready, we'll instead be jumping into play on session 0.
- This campaign will use the PF2e remastered rules where applicable. - We are starting at level 4, using the Free Archetype and Ancestry Paragon variant rules. (Update, October 2025: we are now at level 8.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Discord, a headset/mic of some kind, and the ability to join Foundry on a web browser.
What Marius brings to the table
I will bring Foundry VTT, the premium VTT for running Pathfinder 2e online. I will be purchasing the premium module for the adventure, so maps, tokens, handouts, etc., will all be of highest quality. You will not need to purchase any products, the game rules are all available for free online, as well as in the VTT, and access to Foundry is free for players.
Homebrew rules
No major homebrew rules, but we do use the Free Archetype and Ancestral Paragon variant rules

How Marius creates a safe table
I will send out a link to the Lines and Veils document prior to session 0, and we will discuss this then. At session 0, we will also make characters and discuss how your characters know one another, perhaps including a short prelude adventure if people show up to session 0 with character sheets ready to play. :-)
