About the adventure
This is a Beginner Friendly game and this game will be run with the new DnD 5.5 (2024) rules. My hope is that we get to learn an understand the new version of the game, while exploring some of Wildemount and beyond. I also intend to weave your characters backstory into the events of Call of the Netherdeep, along with custom NPC's and maps, potentially magic items and consequences that wouldn't normally arise from the module, depending on what your character might want.

Hi, My name is Conner and I, would like to run more games of DnD. I've been a player for years now, ran home games, and even run them professionally at my job every now and then. I want to run games on here, because I want to make your characters into superheroes. I always find mid to high level play being the most exciting, and this is an avenue i can take to experience more of it.

Creating your character
There will be a session 0 to come together and connect our characters/ meet the other players, however, there will be a discord server run by myself where you can either message directly or post in the general chat about who/ what your character will be. In that, it will be encouraged to use the Heroic Creation feature in the Explorers guide to Wildemount to flesh out a backstory of a character who lives in Exandria. Those who do so will be awarded with an Uncommon Magic item, as will those with a self written backstory with sufficient ties to the world. The classes available in the 2024 PHB are fair game, as are those from the 2014 rules, though if there is a 2024 version, we will go with that option. Since we are in Exandira, Blood Hunter and Gunslinger are both available, as are the classes in the Explorers Guide to Wildemount.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Bring a character idea along that you might want, there are also character creation options in the module that could help connect your character to the world. You will need a Microphone, and we will use Discord to connect. Using a camera isn't necessary, but is welcomed
What Conner brings to the table
Roll 20 VTT, Module and custom maps/ tokens, the 2024 PHB, Dm's guide and monster manual. I will also make sure that your character is set up and easy to use in the roll20, so don't feel like you need to set everything up on your own. My gm style is very much the type to create heroes out of player characters. While I am fairly adherent to the rules, any creative/ off the wall solution that you think can work will be considered and encouraged.

How Conner creates a safe table
The campaign will have a session 0 to begin with, to discus what will be happening with your characters in the world. there will be a short break in the middle of each session, time for everyone to stretch their legs etc. In that session 0, we will discuss lines and veils, and implement them. and if there are any other problems that arise after the campaign starts, feel free to direct message me at any time, and i will happily talk about any issues that arise. This game is LGBTQ+ friendly, newbie friendly and veteran friendly, and will be run using the new 2024 rules. If you don't have access to them, do not worry, I do and am happy to help make sure that your character is set up ready to play in session 1.
