About the adventure
Always wanted to be play Dungeons & Dragons, but didn't know exactly how or where to start? Perhaps you've played a while, and you're ready to take the plunge and lead your own group of brave adventurers. Either way, this instructional course is for you! For one hour I will review the basics of how to play a character in any D&D adventure, or teach you how to be a Dungeon Master in your very own campaign. The secret is - well, you'll have to sign up for that! Technical tips like - + Creating and roleplaying exciting Characters and NPCs with diverse personalities + Hardware tips + Using Discord successfully + Using Virtual Table Tops + Using StartPlaying.Games to start your own business! I have been playing and running games for over three decades, across all editions. For training purposes this course will focus on the latest edition of the most popular roleplaying game in the world, but as stated the concepts learned herein can be applied to any group story-telling game. I welcome Players and Dungeon Masters of ALL experience levels to this training session. Check out my current campaigns!

Solar Jedi is great! I had a Learn to Play session with him and it was super helpful. He is obviously very knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about dnd. I had gone through session zero for my first campaign and felt a little out of my depth, and he was able to provide me with information and tips that made playing a lot more enjoyable. He tailored a lot of what we talked about to the specific questions I had. I had session one of the campaign yesterday, and I felt so much more confident! I would highly recommend a Learn to Play session with Solar Jedi for newcomers to dnd.

I was needing someone to walk me thru how to play, and explain some of the basics of D&D. He did amazing and helped me understand more, and become more comfortable and confident. I was nervous about playing before, but now I am excited to play!!

I dropped into a session mid-campaign and Gregg made me feel welcome and gave my character a plausible reason to be there. He was very encouraging of player roleplay and respected creativity even when we successfully thwarted one of his major plans for the session. When it came to combat, Gregg uses detailed physical battlemaps with 3D terrain and minis, which is very cool and immersive (especially for an online game).
