About me
Hi, I'm the Solar Jedi! I go by Solar, Jedi, GM or DM, (or Gregg). I am the head proprietor of Sixth Planet, my online gaming group and related store. I have been playing D&D for over three decades now! My favorite thing about D&D is the idea of creating a shared story together, which as a pass-time, has just narrowly avoided becoming a lost art! I am a fan of classic High Fantasy D&D, with settings similar to Faerun, Greyhawk, Dragonlance and the like. Conan meets Beastmaster meets LotR. I like to provide a balance of Role Playing, Exploration, and of course, Combat! I do character voices and accents and have been known to sing a sea shanty on a special occasion! I am a collector of fantasy miniatures and terrain for use with my games. I have thousands of miniatures, from tiny to colossal! I also craft, 3d print and paint. I enjoy setting up huge and immersive 3D scenes for my games! We have played in the dungeons beneath Waterdeep, in jungle terrain along the Sword Coast, in the frozen wastelands of the North and in the fiery depths of the Abyss! I am a fan of classic High Fantasy D&D, with settings similar to Faerun, Greyhawk, Dragonlance and the like. Conan meets Beastmaster meets LotR. I am not a big fan of House Rules or Homebrew and will stick to the standard rules as much as possible, without getting bogged down by them. Moving the story forward is key! As a newbie playing any RPG, I found this GM was amazing at making me feel comfortable and included. I would recommend this GM for any newbie starting out especially if you are shy and not overly comfortable with knowing the rules.

Solar Jedi is great! I had a Learn to Play session with him and it was super helpful. He is obviously very knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about dnd. I had gone through session zero for my first campaign and felt a little out of my depth, and he was able to provide me with information and tips that made playing a lot more enjoyable. He tailored a lot of what we talked about to the specific questions I had. I had session one of the campaign yesterday, and I felt so much more confident! I would highly recommend a Learn to Play session with Solar Jedi for newcomers to dnd.
