About the adventure
Adventures in Palladia is a RPG using the Palladium Fantasy second edition rules. The rules are heavily home brewed to improve mechanics, so I am eager to see fans of this older system come in and check it out. I like intense Role play, moderate combat, and ingenuity. Team mechanics in this one are big as well.

Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Dungeon Crawl
A “Dungeon Crawl” is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!

Desert is an outstanding Traveller GM who really knows how to bring a game to life. The way they build their world feels natural and immersive, with every decision carrying weight in a vast, living universe. Desert has an amazing sense of pacing, always knowing when to crank up the tension or slow things down for those key character moments. What really stands out is their ability to improvise — no matter what the players throw at them, Desert adapts and keeps the story flowing in unexpected ways. It’s clear they’re invested in making sure everyone has a great time at the virtual table.
Jinxie comes prepared for the adventures she runs and brings a nourishing environment that allows players to go off on paths they see shiny object distractions in without concern for the expected path she may have presumed the adventure was going to go that session. She once had a bunch of first level players starting up a honey exchange with this huge bee's hive the players came across and found a way to not fight the bee's and instead work out a protection arrangement for the extra honey with the bee's. Roleplay and ingenuity are encouraged by Jinxie, not squashed. I found her very flexible and uses the game system as a guide not as iron clad rules to allow for more of what the players perceive as their world versus book searching for rules and slowing or halting the adventure. I think you will enjoy playing "with" Jinxie!

How to prepare
A player link to Syrinscape will be provided at session 0 please log in before each session and set the volume to your liking. Please have a working microphone and a Discord Channel will be provided, be prepared to be on push-to-talk. Have the demo version of Fantasy Grounds Unity installed and updated on your computer. Dice, character sheets and playing pieces (Tokens) will be available. There is a possibility that the game will be streamed/recorded. Permission from all players will be asked beforehand.
What I provide
I will have FG Unity (or any other VTT) set up with all the maps, character sheets, tokens, icons, and whatever else may be needed.
Gameplay details
A typical session will last 4 to 6 hours. There will be a lot of encouragement for Role play, but there will be times when combat will not be able to be avoided. A lot of overland exploration and ample dungeon and cave delving spattered throughout. Expect to be working with other players, not lone wolfing or plotting against the party. There will be background music and ambience sounds provided by Syrinscape. I have the Luxom technique in place, ten minute breaks every two hours, and an open door policy. Also possible triggers and sensitive content will be discussed openly before each session.

How will character creation work
Palladium Fantasy characters will be rolled up in a session zero, which is expected to last about 2 hours or so, give or take. It is a D20 system, so anyone with experience with a d20 system will have no problem keeping up. A Session 0 will also allow the players to get to know who they will be playing with, who is responsible for what role, and how the characters will react with each other. Characters are expected to work together, no lone wolf or inter party plotting for destruction or disarray.
